I hit reply prematurely... so besides the seller with questionable expertise, any significant identifier for the exact year or model? Hour makers are tapered towards the center, never seen these before, with dauphnie arms. Thank you!!

It's a unishell case which means you can open it only from the dial side and you have to remove the crown. So we dont know the model or production year. You can find the modelnumber on the inside of the caseback and the serialnumber on the movement.

But walk away from this one and start over. Start with watches with pictures of the inside and compare with other known examples. Then tell us the results of your research with pictures and we will help you.

I didn’t know eBay would be the preferred choice for the vintage watches until I came here — I somehow had a bad impression on that site and never shopped there.

Most of us buy most of their watches on ebay. But there are other options as well since everybody is searching on ebay. But for a starter omega ebay will be fine.
