Hello,

I've come once again with pictures to help ID a watch (no mouvement pictures unfortunately).

The watch looks like a CK 2242 ? With a 30 T2 movement with central seconds ? Kind of out of my depth with these unmarked older models I don't really know where to look. The watch is 35mm per seller but wears bigger. Press-in back.

Thank you for your help.

If you are looking for a reference number, it may be stamped inside the case-back. However, if you're willing to buy this watch without seeing the movement, I'm not sure why the specific reference number would impact your decision. Given the condition of the dial (with apparent water damage), and without a movement photo, it would have to be dirt cheap.

The only fact I can tell you for sure its not a 2242 which has a different case design and is only 32.5 mm small

With this dial condition I'm not really considering buying it (unless very cheap of course) mostly interested in knowing more how to detect references without seeing caseback and movement (if at all possible).

Unfortunately on the omega vintage website these types of references I'm not able to find sizes. I'm trying cross referencing this forum, catawiki, ebay and Chrono24 with what I find on https://www.omegawatches.com/fr/vintage-watches

Thank you, the lugs did seem different. I should be able to match lugs as they have a pretty specific look on the case but I'm finding that I suck at matching cases by looking at the lugs on pictures. The search continues.

Identifying references without seeing the number is a matter of deep knowledge and expertise. There's no shortcut. As you noted, the OVD no longer has case sizes, and it's not comprehensive in general.
