So here’s a bit of an update. Before I had posted this question, I gave some details to crown and caliber because I was curious about what they would pay. They offered me 2300 yesterday. Of course, I was really tempted to double my money right there. But after a bit more thought, i’m not sure I’d be able to buy a watch this nice for that money. Also, I know I would regret selling it because I really do like the way this watch looks on my wrist. So I think I am keeping it. Thanks again for all of your thoughts... And happy thanksgiving!!

If you were able to hustle to get this for $1k, than, if you do plan on selling, why would you do it via a dealer? Sell it privately and make more $$$.

Didn’t actually get that quote to sell. Was just kinda curious. Also, I’m not so sure about selling something this expensive on something like eBay. I’ve had a lot of bad selling experiences, and it was a constant headache. Regardless I’m keeping it

It depends on how flexible your pocket is and you may want to consider to keep it

Man, these watches don't hold their value. I wonder why?

So I've been very indecisive lately... I have been eyeing this speedmaster professional for a bit:

https://www.crownandcaliber.com/products/omega-speedmaster-3873-50-31-10-10-ome-xg4ve8

I could have this for $200 if I trade in my PO 8500. I like the looks of the speedmaster, but haven't had the opportunity to try one in person. Also, I know that this will probably hold its value better and be cheaper to service, so there's that too. I am wondering if the Speedmaster exudes quality the way my PO does. I intend to wear it every day. Also, How well do they keep time in your experience? Is there something that you guys really like about the PO that won't be on the speedmaster if I were to trade? I'm too far from a boutique to try one on. I really appreciate any comments.

PO 8500 is a heavy bit of kit on the Bracelet. Speedy has all of the heritage and kudos behind it. It depends ultimately on what floats your boat. Both are damned fine watches but personally I’d stick with the PO and save for a Speedy
