Well as the cats out of the bag worth sharing the rest of it. The auctioneer has factored in the wear or damage in a low estimate of 2000-3000.

The amount of filth seems to indicate the hacking was done long ago.

“A vintage Omega "Pre-Moon" Speedmaster Professional, circa 1965, ref. S105.012-65, cal. 321, signed black dial, three subsidiaries for seconds, minute and hour time recording, luminous baton hour markers, white outer track, white hands with luminous inserts, stainless steel case diameter 42mm, twin pushers and crown at 3 o'clock, manual wind 17 jewel chronograph movement, serial no. 22826508, Omega stainless steel strap no. 1506.

More Information
Condition - although the watch does appear to be working correctly, the movement is slightly loose within case, viewing advised and sold as seen, wear throughout including but limited to scratches to case back, scratches and ding to bezel, scratches to glass, stretching to strap, dirt throughout, provenance - deceased estate.”

It's very uniformly scratched, I like it, very annoying when there's a singular scratch

Deceased estate……. I wonder if he was wearing it when they buried him, might explain the filth.

I’m relieved no one dropped a Michael J. Fox reference.

Not cool bro…

Whatever the caseback, it is a good-looking watch, I like it. Those who know me know that I have a soft point for these dirty old things 😁

“Daddy, I wanted to wear your watch at school today but it wasn’t working, so we tried to change the battery” 😲

So did the auction house rake out the remains of a long disintegrated seal for better photos?
