Seller says it's original. I can't see anything that would indicate otherwise, but would definetely like some other opinions!

Found this listing on Ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-OME...979384?hash=item1a16483038:g:blcAAOSwRQlXdJP6

I've been looking for a Constellation for a while, and I quite like the pink gold case.

Watch is, supposedly, mostly original. Seller notes that the glass has been replaced, and that the (original) dial has two dents.

Any other observations? How much should I be prepared to pay?
Do you like the damaged dial (dent above 9 o'clock, done by incompetent watchmaker)?

Well, no. But from a wearability standpoint, it's not that bad. My hope is that the dent can knock a few hundred off the price, but it totally depends on how much other bidders care.

You can not rely on the seller, have a look at several more constellations and see what you think

Good that you're not picky. I don't think any serious collector or hoarder would want that dial, plus the soft case, so the price won't be astronomical.

I apologize if I'm missing something obvious, but as far I can tell, the dial looks original. Fonts are correct. If anything, the hour markers at 9 and 10 look slightly off, but that may just be due to the picture.

The two Os in chronometer, not the same but would be seeking better minds than mine before purchasing

I was looking into this one myself, but the dial condition turned me off. I would say if it goes for a good price and you like it, go for it.

Dent caused by watchmaker using improper/too long screw, possibly?

I don't see the different "o" in chronometer, and from what I can tell it passes MOY, fonts are good, but I'm not a expert on these dials, although I have one coming in the mail.

I personally would pass due to the dent on the dial and polishing of the case. These watches have 2 stunning features ( in my opinion) , the dial and the shape of the lugs, and having both damaged would make this watch a no go for me.

Even if it did save a couple hundred, is it really worth it? It all depends on the kind of collecter you are.

As for the price I have no idea, I haven't seen a similar conditioning sold, but what I do know is the person who did that to the dial should be shot!

Probably too long screws...

To my opinion, original dial or redial, this dents are a big issue...

Looks nice but the dent will bother me. It may not now but in the future it may. Just sharing my experience 😀
