Someone can tell me the reference number for this one please? And how much should I pay for it?

Have you done some research to try and find similar watches online to determine the reference? Don’t concentrate on the dial, the reference relates to the case and movement.

I think that's a bit unreasonable of you David, in the time it has taken you to type that out you could have done the research work for the OP.....and decided on his budget for it too! 😉

Do you have some tips for research? I was offered another piece but I can’t find the reference number no matter where I look.

What a clown.
Perfect description. Photo in front of someone's Lambo, goes to Men's Wearhouse and takes a selfie wearing one of their suits. 😂

@Yahav Jacob Tuva most collectors are happy to help other collectors get started and provide advice but draw the line at dealers.
Dealers should put years of effort into learning the details and nuances of the items they sell. To simply rock up here and ask “what watch is this and how much should I pay for it (to allow me to sell it to a collector for a profit)” is ridiculous.

You want to be a dealer? Great, but out the hard yards in yourself. Don’t expect collectors who done years of research to hand it over to you so you can monetise it.

Exactly. What's the point of buying from a dealer unless they are an expert? They are supposed to be trusted sources of knowledge.

Btw I’m learning something new everyday, I don’t need to be ashamed of asking questions.
You can choose to be ashamed of whatever you wish. You are, semantically, asking questions. But linguistically should implies you're actually seeking guidance, and it's entirely reasonable for people who care about watches to give you grief for seeming to care only about watches to the degree they're profitable.

For the record: probably 2846/8, and how much you should pay depends on too many factors, none of which you've identified.
