Getting up during the night to sort out crying babies, anxious children and lonely puppies ingrained in me the need to wear a watch in bed (OMG - is that the time?)
Normally, I remove my watch before going to bed. However, with most replies I've seen, I will keep mine on if I'm in a hotel or a place that if I have to leave in a hurry I won't have to worry about grabbing it on the way out!
I’ve always removed my watch at night. I used to put my watches on winders when I wasn’t wearing them. I’ve generally gotten away from that practice, and now I put them in Wolf watch storage boxes in my closet. I tend to mix it up a bit in terms of which watch I’ll wear each day.
Always take the watch off...although recently I wore my ProTrek to bed and it felt weird. Although, in hotels now, I either wear it or put my wedding ring on the strap and tighten it up. (That way I know I won't leave it behind) I left a 70's Doxa in a hotel once and I won't do that again.
When I first wake up and roll about, my first thought is about the time and glancing at my watch is great way to wake up.
Almost the same for me. When I first wake up I instinctively check motel windows to see if there's any unmarked FBI cars watching from the parking lot. Then I check my watch to see how long I have until daylight. What boggles the mind is how some of you boneheads still send me money as if you're going to get a watch in the mail.
