Can I play even if I'm a wannabe rider?

I built both of these, but sadly haven't had a chance to ride either one in years. And the Triumph has only been ridden like 2 times after it was "finished" before being put in storage for the last decade.

Triumph is a '72 T120 Oil-in frame. Full custom everything. Bits and pieces from all generations (tank is supposed to be for a Thruxton). Ceriani forks, Tommaselli clip-ons, Ducati headlight Just a big bastard of parts, but sure looks neat. A franken of the bike world.

And then this isn't a motorcycle, but people love them anyways. Puch Magnum moped. Again all hand done rebuild, big bore kit, top speed is a brain melting 61mph!! (hey, it's fast for 72cc and one speed)

Why don't you ride them?!

The Triumph was built from parts, none of which had a title. Granted, it's been out of the DMV system for decades so it wouldn't be hard to get a new one issued, but I just haven't had the drive to get it inspected.

And the moped - the moped "scene" died out pretty hard. Used to ride it a ton up until about 6 years ago, went to rallies, etc. But once everyone stopped riding them, it got lonely. Half the fun of them is building them with other people.

Just sold my last bike last week...part of that money paid for my Seamaster. Never had chance to ride anymore...went from 12-14k miles a year to 1k a year if I was lucky. Too busy with life....

I LOVE the heavy spoke wheels on Harleys. Like on the Electra Glides of yesteryear.

Been riding since 1976 when my newlywed wife came home and said she bought a motorcycle (she dated a guy in high school who rode). I didn't know a thing about bikes but we lived in a rural area so the Honda dealer lent us a Honda 175 to ride around the fields until we got the basics down. Then we brought home the Honda CB550 four piper. Been through a few bikes since then, currently have a 2017 Yamaha MT-10 which I take out once a week or so for a 100-150 mile ride, stopping for lunch somewhere along the way. It is a definite attitude adjustment machine that you can't get with a four wheel vehicle, when you are out on the road by yourself you have to have your wits about you but it also gives me time to think about life and things in general. I always feel better when I get back home.

Owed this R25/3 for many years. Just parted with it recently.

It was a lot of fun on two lane country roads, but it can’t really keep up with traffic.

Started to ride in 93 back in France, and have only ever owed two bikes: the 600cc version (for a year or so) and the 900cc below that I have had since 94: it was truly love at first sight with the Mostro!! 🥰

Each time I get home, I take it out for a long spin in the mountains. 👍

Never had the courage to get one here in the NE of the USA… most drivers are oblivious to motorcycles!! 😒

I had an R27 for a few years.... that could run with modern traffic well enough.

A friend of mine still has one. I’ve been lucky to ride it a few times. I really like the earles fork. they are two very different bikes even though they are only separated by one model.

I still have my R60/5. That’s a bike I’d go anywhere on.

I was lucky enough to try an R25. I was at a rally with my R27 and a guy pulled up on an R25 and asked if I would trade for a bit, he was thinking about getting one and wanted to know what it was life. As his bike was fully restored I didn’t take long to decide. It was a truly lovely little thing.
