..And an ‘86 R65.-it belongs to my father, who’s owned it since it was almost new. It’s a bit of a chugger compared to the R6!

Not anymore. 🙁

I recently stumbled upon these and have been waiting for an excuse!

Thank you, @atone .

They're all gone ten years now. One accident too many after 200,000 miles ridden.

(Not represented: BMWs R90/6, K75RT, K1200RS, R1200GS - favorite bike)

Many amazing memories. A few old injuries that have not improved with time.

Ah, life.

In virtually every photo, I’m wearing my ‘67 1016 Explorer, so I shouldn’t be in the Omega forum for this post. :whipped:

Having now gotten this out of my system, I promise to never do it again. 🙄
Man you really did have a couple of classics there.
I recall my dad saying he owned a Rudge Ulster, this would have been just post-war in New Zealand where the pommie bikes were plentiful. He moved onto a few incarnations of the BSA gold star type and because he hung around the bike circles he got to ride some interesting machinery. One of those was an ex-works AJS 7R, owned by a Kiwi rider Peter Murphy. Running on methanol he said it was the fastest 350 he’d ever ridden. But his favourite until his dying days was the Norton Dominator with the McCandless ‘featherbed’ frame. He said it rode and cornered like no other.

Many years later when I took up riding he eventually got ride my bikes and had to admit my beloved ‘93 VFR750 was pretty good, but it was still a step too far to concede on the Norton.
Currently I’m between bikes but the yearning is kicking in again and eldest son has a Honda VTR250 that’s not getting enough use that is just a hoot to ride, sooooo .... soon I think

Anyway, loved your bikes, regardless of watch worn. Sorry to hear about the accidents, part of the statistical averages I guess when you ride. I've been hit three times fortunately each time at low speed, just good fortune really. Safe travels

The daily driver and two "projects". Two of these are still in the garage but haven't moved for 20 years -- not even being pushed around 🙁

96 VFR.?

Yes. I've still got that and the Moto-Morini. And eleven bicycles. And....

Central France in 1998

That was before I hit a pheasant at speed (cough cough!) and the replacement fairing panels never fitted quite properly after that.

Is that an oil spot under your bike?

🍿
My Triumph didn’t leak oil once.

it had been a long winter with an unusually long storage.

the old lump actually ran out of oil to leak, it was all in the pan under the bike.

This is making me nostalgic.
First few bikes, then a not very good shot of my 93 VFR but it was at the Snowy River and a memorable days ride. (Next day equally memorable heading back to Melbourne, heaviest day’s rainfall in Victoria in 38 years!)

Norton FTW. The frame tubing is filled with helium, so this actually weighs -32 pounds. I ride this. In my dreams.

Yeah, it's a Silk. No longer in my possession. Frame & suspension wonderful (Spondon racing kit), gearbox marginal (Velocette 4 speed), engine crap. Seemed like a good idea at the time. About 150 made, mine was frame #49 engine #51.

Grew up riding CB125 at teen age back in the other country.(of birth). Not anymore here which needs a separate Motor Cycle driving license .
