How hard is it to get an Omega Catalogue

Not trying to be funny...but how hard is it to get an Omega Catalogue from the Omega website?

I think 4 years ago I asked about 3 times before I got one.

Now a few years later, I have asked twice (maybe 6 months and 1 month ago) and haven't seen it.

I'm in Canada if that is of relevance.

Is anyone in the US having issues getting a catalogue from the website? Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your specific question, but I was just wondering how far back does your catalog collection go? It's not something I've done, but it seems like a smart thing to archive if you specialize in Omega. The website is great for the current watches, but there's no history there. 👍

I picked up a catalog (The Essence of Omega) at my closest OB about three months ago here in the US (dated 2021 and it has the new 3861 models, Ed White, and gold models), they had a stack of them. Have never tried to get one through their website. Maybe if you call your closest AD or the OB they will send you one.

In the front of the catalogue they tout the Google Lens app to get more information about any particular model. All companies are getting away from paper catalogues in favor of online use.

Mostly addressing @Dan S

I dumped a bunch of stuff from the 1990s in a fit of housecleaning. Such things do take up space. I am sort of considering another housecleaning. It is hard to know what one will be passioned about. I mostly kept the trade magazines. Why did I ever get so many coffee table books for brands I do not own and probably will not collect?

Do not really have much interest in the post 1980s stuff. Would be nicer if there were more illustrations of the vintage stuff.
Eventually these modern watches/catalogs will be vintage.

One would sort of expect that the 'modern' stuff would not have a lot of the paper catalogs. That everything would be online or archived in the appropriate places.

I did find some 'books' from one of the Basel fairs, that survived the purge. While nice, they do not have a lot of substance unless one is into celebrity culture.

If you call a Boutique, they might be willing to send you the current issue. Hard to get anything from the website anymore. It's like when you order parts, you have to call them on the phone.

I have filled out the "Catalog Request" many times and received absolutely nothing... my next step is calling my "local" (local being an insanely long drive -- 247 miles each way) boutique and trying to convince them to mail me one.

I have one of the same catalogues. I particularly like that the store inserted a piece of paper with the prices by watch/page number.

I one back in like 2017 or 2018. I don't remember exactly the year but it was through the website. I was actually surprised that I came in like 4-6 weeks after I requested it.

Well,

I have the same experience with ordering via their Homepage – collect it at the AD or OB is the only way working.

Italy here.
Homepage > order > arrived (I can’t remember exactly in how much time, I suppose 2 or 3 weeks)

Here from @AdamS in the Vintage Advertising thread. Canadian too. Remember when you could send a “self addressed stamped envelope?”

Made a few attempts back in 2018 via website, and a few months later I received a catalog in the mail. I've made similar attempts each subsequent year to no avail.

My friends at Nomos have been a little more accommodating 😀

I've requested one from their website multiple times & have never received anything! I could probably get one from my OB, but it's not really necessary!

I can just pop over the nearest boutique…

but I’m lucky.

Last week, I stopped by my local boutique and was told that they too CANNOT get catalogues.

They have been asking for a couple months and said I am not alone.

I ordered one from the website about 2 weeks ago and have a thick envelope which arrived in the UK this morning with the Omega logo on the outside. Not opened yet, as saving that for after work…
