How does this watch look that I bought?

I believe it is a simple piece, reference 196.0260. The listing has it as a 1420.

it doesn’t have a name at that bottom, and was given to someone for their job anniversary. It has a custom band, with a small diamond in the 1.

The seller allows 30 days returns, so I am going to have it checked out, but any initial thoughts?

I do! I plan on wearing it solely for my wedding and then never again. Just keeping it in the box.

Be sure to take the battery out before you store it away 👍

You would be safe wearing it on your first anniversary too! Enjoy your watch.

Best advise for quartz watches, any time you plan on storing them, pull the battery. If the one in there leaks when it dies- your watch it toast.
Congrats on the upcoming nuptials!

Would this particular model have a Energizer battery 371 / 370 (or equivalent)?

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding. So it sounds like you're just looking for a watch to wear on this one occasion and not on a regular basis? If you think that you might change your mind and want to wear a nice watch regularly, there are better vintage choices from Omega that have a mechanical movement instead of quartz and many of them are surprisingly affordable.

Why would you wear someone’s engraved job anniversary watch for the most important day of your life?

It’s a free country, but I’m sure you can do better.

What are the chances that this new member joined today, was somehow able to figure out how to use the search function that gives sporadic results, found this post, and decided to ask what type of battery the quartz watch took for his first ever post. Absolutely strange.

It’s the same guy. He forgot his password and is due a battery change.
