How do I gain points to reply in threads?

I have been browsing OF for a while now and decided to make an account so that I can purchase for sale items and participate in threads. However, I am restricted from doing so because I have "insufficient privileges" to post replies. How do I become an active member in this community?

This is the rules page regarding posting in sales threads. This applies to both making sales, want to buy threads, and comments in those as well. If you would like to buy a watch from one of the posted for sales, you can PM the seller directly.

You can participate in all threads apart from the sales section threads which are restricted to members with 200 posts or more.

As mentioned above if you want to buy something just send that person a direct message.

It also helps if you introduce yourself. It doesn't get you to 200 posts, but it may make some people more comfortable dealing with you if you send them a message.
