Hey everyone just curious as to how everyone is storing their collections of watches?

Watch winders, fancy watch cases, or just in the original boxes?

I need to start looking into options as my collection grows.

Any advice on likes, dislikes where to buy or pictures is welcome.

Thanks

Yea I really don’t like these threads as they attract the wrong type of attention to people.

You should learn how to use search function. Lots of topics are already covered you just need to dig a bit. 😀

VERY securely. I display the wrist watches two at a time. One on each wrist. On the rare occasion when I exhibit the pocket watches, I have two custom oak cabinets which do a nice job. For wrist watches, I have two typical jewellery store style showcases. None on my watches are stored in these cases. 😉

There’s the “how” and there’s the “where.” See nothing wrong with telling someone wherever they choose to store them, how to store them is out of light, avoiding significant temperature and humidity swings, and well padded to guard against hard knocks.

In a locked steel safe, deep inside a cave, in the remote mountains, guarded by a fire-breathing dragon

Each watch goes into a small pelican case, which goes into pork loin, which is fed to a crocodile, and that crocodile is then fed to another crocodile. The croc pond is then surrounded by scientists talking about common sense ideas, so people tend to stay away

In a very large safe installed in a concrete bunker. Just past my crematorium, around the corner from the uranium reprocessing plant and behind my observatory. With a shout out to @dsio 😁

Sorry did not mean to offend anyone.

Don't sweat it. Everyone is just riffing on a theme.

I keep mine in ziplock bags stashed inside flour, sugar, and cornmeal canisters.

Watch Pulp fiction, Captain Koons knows how to keep a watch safe. Very secure and highly motivating to keep your collection from getting too large.

The search function is fine, but often get better results by googling "site😲megaforums.net XXXX", where XXXX is your search term(s).

No offense taken. Just having a little fun. I really do store mine in a large safe except for the one I'm wearing on any particular day.
