·I'm surprised no one's talking about the actual price yet. Obviously it could change between now and when Omega officially opens order banks, but US pricing is pegged at $59,400 right now.

From the Smithsonian images, it appears that Cernan's Apollo 17 watch (last watch on the moon) is a 105.012-66 CB:

and that Cernan's Apollo 10 watch is a 105.012-65:

Are you getting that price from Omega's US website? The Australian website only has the 321 platinum in the Story section without any price.
Did you get a mortgage proposal as well?![]()

So I guess I’m gonna be the only buffoon to say that I want one?
If speculative prices are true of north of $40 and maybe $50k USD that I’m expecting a platinum bracelet to match.
Trying to decide if the family really needs an SUV for the kids or if I need a second speedy 😝
There seems to be a contradiction here. This is from the official Omega announcement of the reintroduction of the 321:
"Using the 2nd generation Calibre 321 as a reference, the OMEGA team compiled extensive historical research and original plans to reconstruct the movement as accurately as possible. Going even further, they also used “tomography” technology (digital scanning method) to see inside the true Speedmaster ST 105.003 timepiece that astronaut Eugene “Gene” Cernan wore on the moon during the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. Cernan was the last man to walk on the lunar surface and his Speedmaster is now housed at the OMEGA Museum in Bienne. Its Calibre 321 provided the perfect design criteria for OMEGA to follow."
So which is it? 105.012 or 105.003?
Not sure why he took two, maybe a back up?
The prices posters in the US (USD59.4k) and Australia (AUD81k) are hearing from local OB/ADs line up closely but GBP25K is not much more than 50% of the US and Aus prices. Aus prices are usually quoted including 10% tax. Not sure in the US where state taxes vary. Even after adding VAT on GBP25k, the UK price is only approx USD37k. If the UK price is correct (and it doesn't sound right), I'll book a ticket to Heathrow and do some arbitrage trading.
That UK price can't be right, that would be low for a Pt watch of this caliber. The AD could be just misinformed.
