Horrible service

Poor quality of the bracelet. It was stuck on my husband’s hand in locked position without a possibility to remove it. We sent it for the warranty service. But the service turned out to be even worse than the quality of the bracelet. It is already taking them 4 months to fix it with little hope to get it back anytime soon. We paid 5k for the watch just to have them for almost half a year be kept unaddressed and broken at Omega possession.

Well jeez can’t you go help them I would but I’m a little under the weather. I hope you never get “stuck” with a bracelet

Do you miss your husband?

What is the communications from Omega? Many have experienced this issue. Are you working with a Boutique or an Authorized Dealer?

Maybe the OP thinks this is an official Omega support channel

???

If the OP thinks that and posted here by mistake, then I think the bracelet being "stuck" is user error, too...

Kamikaze drone post -- swoop in out of no where, crash into OF, and *poof*, all gone.

No "hello". No "thank you for any advice you can give me". Just a big seagull poop of what appears to be an anonymous complaint to an internet forum (i.e., OF is NOT Omega).

The post got me thinking... is there any other consumer product for $5000 that may be defective, but will take the manufacturer months to fix ??? I can see the poster's point / disappointment.

Sounds like the same thing that has happened to other members.

It is definitely interesting how many new members come here to vent about a real or perceived flaw in a new Omega watch ... broken clasp, a piece of dust, misaligned bezel or minute hand, etc. Hopefully they click on a couple of ads during their visit.

Yes, there are.

My father had a BMW 5 series which he couldn't keep the rear driver door closed on because the cable in the door got stuck. So he got to BMW to have it fixed. They loaned him a car for 4 months because the cable was "backorder".

There are definitely consumer products costing more than 5k with which it happens.

They lent him a car though...perhaps the poster would be less frustrated if an alternate similar watch were provided.

So I still wonder what other products would leave the customer out of luck for months.

Came across this Speedmaster ref recently, wondering if someone has ever been offered this;

My ten month old $200 microwave won’t heat up but they won’t loan me one. How can I eat?

Joking aside, wouldn’t it be good practice to just stick a new bracelet on the OP’s watch and be done with it?

Is that common procedure? Got any more information on those watches? Do they lend watches only in Japan?

I have heard people mention that they were offered loaner watches in the past, but I don't have first-hand experience or inside knowledge. That is quite an old watch obviously.

I recall someone here suggesting to their dealer that only the bracelet be sent in, and the dealer saying the whole watch has to be sent in.
