How about every 1940s watch is: WW2 era military style. Just enough to be arguably honest, but also makes it a PITA to search for an WW2 military watch.
Only half of them are mil - the rest are all apparently Art Deco...

As this post seems to be as much about forum pet peeves, here's one...

Get a notification email to a thread I have posted in with a member making a reply - click on the "view thread" in the email, only to find said member has deleted the post. Happened to me twice yesterday in the space of one hour with the same member, who makes a habit of doing this for some odd reason.

I do that occasionally, when I think better of my snarky response. Which would you rather have?

I actually like your snarky responses and see them in notifications before you delete them...some are gold...and highly inflammatory...hence why I get why you delete them

Do I really have a choice?

BTW, not referring to you...

Here are two additional pet peeves:

1. Airline pilots that want to be railroad engineers...so they wear railroad watches...and what makes it even worse is that they wear two railroad watches at the same time...

2. Airline pilots that want to be astronauts...so they put their modern Speedy Gonzales Moonwatch [with its Omega replica NASA strap] on plastic astronauts...

Just goes to show that aspirational jobs are only aspirational to those who don’t already have them.
I’m sure there is a railroad engineer and an NASA pilot that would really love to be a commercial airline pilot
