I didn't expect it so soon
When he perked up after his first few steroids I knew not to expect too much but I did anyway.
We went in a pub where he was schmoozing everybody and they couldn't believe he had a brain tumour.
Dogs are amazingly good at milking every last moment of joy from their lives. At the end of her final walk around the block, when Zelda's little body was absolutely riddled with tumors (spleen, lungs, bladder, ...), she was dragging a bit because it was warm and she was weak, but still stopping to sniff at every opportunity. Then she saw some friends across the street and absolutely dragged me over there, wiggling and happy to see them.
