Hope he is back the full health asap 👍

He was fine today after a night off the tiles and already healing thanks - they have amazing immune systems. This is him post morning brush. He is slowly losing a bit of weight / showing his age more - but was out in the garden today giving a few wails (cat roars) to let everyone know he is still king of his domain (inside and out I think). As winter hoves into view he is brushed two or three times a day and still we get loads off him (very dense undercoat).

I thought I should put one up of young girl post her spa treatment today to prevent (more) jealousy. Her fur is a lot different / much thicker but without the undercoat. She does not mind water too much and drys quickly. Still do not know who gave Old boy a swipe, but she looks and behaves like butter would not melt on her paw....or claw!
Hopefully no more tree climbing today.

Do you have bobcats in your area? When hairy was in her prime she would actually scap with them and come home with some serious wounds. Only happened twice, I was out there to break it up but she would charge them and I don’t think there are many housecats that can come out with the trophy in a match with a wild cat. I’m scared to let the brothers Grimm get out as they attacked my neighbors dog and I’m convinced these two are bat shit crazy and will mess with the wrong animal. Fortunately they aren’t trying to sneak out every time I open the door. Maharishi always has a look of surprise on his face, makes me nervous

Their faces look like a reaction when you said Bobcats ;0) People and cars are the risk here. They have some wild cats in Scotland in more ways than one, but nothing down south. We do have foxes, badgers and adders but most things rub along ok. We have some kites/birds of prey which might cause a kitten some issues. We did have a psycho cat (the evil one) who ruled the local patch for 15 years and kept all cats+ dogs in line, but he moved which gave Old boy a new lease of life. Young girl would hold her ground with the psycho so is a force to be reckoned with.

edit - this old post (last photo) has a shot of the evil one who used to rule the roost … now busy terrorising a new neighbourhood..

Looking at his eyes I suspect he knows he should not be on my seat but t.b.h. life is to short to bother about such things 🥰

Beltin' pics.
Haven't been into Threlkeld for years, sadly.
Love the Salutation pub 👍

Polo on his first holiday to the lakes in July 2014.
He's making sure his mum is keeping up on the way up Cat Bells in the Lakes.
I'm not sure where his favourite destination is but they all include hills and for some reason country pubs😀

One of Polo's favourite meals, a black pudding stack.
2 pieces of black pudding, a piece of gammon and a poached egg.
I'm sat on the other side with a veggie burger

Another pub, another black pudding stack. This was for his birthday a couple of years ago.

An English BBQ in October … they must be mad… a very pleasant day with the last of the German beer (Oktoberfest maybe)..and then falling back on some old faithful bishops finger. Young Girl binged on some Waguya beef which could b setting a bad precedent. We did get them both in shot at one point but old boy looks wary, and I do not know why they are so interested in chard leaves. He did have spring in his step at one point but is not enamoured with the young pretender. Old boy headed in and found a sunny spot to bring out the tiger in him. I am going to have a forum break to focus on some projects.. Might create some threads for those. See you on the other side which should be before Xmas.

Must confess we visited many fantastic pubs in the Lakes, on one occasion one of the serving staff came and asked if my pal would like a couple of sausages as the chef had to many 🥰 needless to say the answer was yes please 😀

I bet your pal wanted to go back there.😜

When we go to Rivington great house barn nearby, Polo has sussed that if he's there near closing time ie 4pm there's a good chance he'll get sausages that'll otherwise be thrown away.
This is the look he uses
