Hmm quite interesting. What are your interactions with the lizard like. Does he remember you? I’m guessing they don’t fetch but either does my cat. What are the pluses of taking care of a lizard? Oh what’s mr lizards name.
He’s a red bearded dragon, 9 months old, he eats locusts, meal worms and wax worms. You don’t know what sex they are until about 6 months old and even then it’s hard to tell. So we called him Beardsie until we knew. Now we do know beardsie has stuck, which is a terrible unimaginative name but somehow we like it.

The dog would love to play with him but we are worried he may hurt him so keep them apart. The cats want to eat him so we keep them away from him so he doesn’t hurt them.

Whilst he’s hard on the top and the spikes are tough (not sharp) the spikes on his side are incredibly soft, his underbelly almost silk like.

He comes to the front of his vivarium when he wants to come out.

My partner works from home so she has him sit with her whilst working. He sits on on her most of the time or goes off and explores the office (door closed so other animals don’t interact).

He definitely knows us as if we let someone else hold him he's restless and tries to get back to us and is very content when on us.

He needs to be at around 28-32C and needs UV to help him digest food so can’t be out of his vivarium for too long given how damn cold this country is.

Not as interactive as a dog but I get more out of him than I do the cats who simply see us as the hired help.

A looooong overdue update on the Bonnie and Beau show and a couple of the others. Will try and make it a little more frequent in the future.
Below is a very brief pictorial overview but still quite a few pics.

Getting comfortable with each others company.

Beaus first walk out in the big world.

Made a friend, he is a little bit bigger than me..

Bonnie was getting really unhappy and losing weight. After some research we discovered if a cat is not desexed and doesn't have a partner they become depressed which has a negative effect on their health. So the decision was made that he would have the op.
Just coming out of the anaesthetic.

Beau keeping his little mate company during recovery..

Having some playtime with dad..

Bonnie back to his happy self😀

The man cave with dad..

Bonnie now goes on the morning walk with Beau and it wouldn't be Bonnie if he didn't have his tongue out😜

On a mission..

Are we ready to go yet?

Cool cat and gee my tongue is out..

Chilling with the bro's

Really🙄

I must admit he is a good looking fellah..

Yes that is 22kg's and I am only six months old😲

Population explosion with another two in the other nests.

The bro's checking out the street scene.

I was parched😉

And this is how we roll, heading off for this mornings walk😀

Done

Sorry for the poor quality cellphone picture, but I had to capture this. Our dog snuggles up in such a way that she is in complete contact with you. I call it laminating.

Easy like Sunday morning - I swear he is getting longer / no room for humans soon.
Also the evil one / big bear cat is still trying to muscle into the house.... but he is too early / the milk bar is not open yet...

I'm sure they consider their human only as food dispenser 😀

Neo is guarding the BBQ 😀

Looking at the nice joint of meat it needs guarding - if it was not for Covid limitations I think a few people here would be flying in for dinner :0)

I'll surely be glad to welcome some of our fellow members for a nice BBQ, wine and beer drinking (water accepted too) at our home 😀

He did a good job so he is rewarded!

Ahoy all, a quick update now things have begun normalising a bit.
Frank was rushed into the vets on Saturday morning with suspected Osteomyelitis ( same thing Stan had). He had to have a toe amputated , he's now back at Mrs Wivs recovering.
Stan was slightly concerned.
That's more than enough excitement for one year thangyewverymuch

May all the Wivs enjoy a future of blissful boredom with brief bursts of excited playtime

Doing some work out here saw hairy in her hunting position a couple minutes later she was passed out. Either age or the knowledge that canned food awaits

Alpha, how is your dog doing? How's recoverey?

Unfortunately starting to show his age over the past few days, occasionally unable or unwilling to walk and I have to carry him to a suitable area to see to his business. Hopefully it is just a phase.
