This is great! Only my second post on this forum, though I'd been on WUS for years. You guys get to swear?!? Yes! You hate Hoodwinkee too? Yes! Oh, and you prefer Omega to Rolex?! Damn.
I just went through all fifteen pages mostly avoiding work and the news this morning. Great entertainment!

the story behind the clock is interesting, if it's all true. The price is jaw dropping and the dial design leaves a lot on the table. IMO it's too flat and has no personality. At that price, they could have done more with the dial design.

Although many of us would never have been a potential customer for this product, nor some of us even a potential customer of The Dink at all, this has been a huge PR boom for them- negative or positive doesn’t matter, it’s free press. If they had been seeing a dip in web traffic over the last 6 months, this certainly jump started it back up again.

Not free press for this disaster- that ship has sailed, but now everyone is watching to see what comes next. It’s like a soap opera.

Well I can count myself as a member of the camp that did not visit their web site before or during this product launch, and don't plan on visiting after either.

...well, unless they develop/ market a new LE of a vintage watch with a Swiss maker that will sell for 5x what the available true vintage models actually sell for at the time. Maybe something one of the Hodinkee chiefs coveted as a child. That I would fully get behind! 😁

I had one in my basket I was about to push the buy button then I realized it didn’t have a radio. Other than that it’s damn near perfect.
