Hi everyone, been lurking for way too much time now I felt the need of signing up to thank this great forum and its members for sharing their knowledge and experience to the world. Hopefully I will be able to bring some of my modest knowledge as well in the future Not sure if it's mandatory to add a wristshot in the first post but I have all the images on my phone and am from my desktop atm. If that's the case, I do apologize and will add a couple pics asap! Ciao!
You are in the center of the vintage watch universe. Be careful as you absorb knowledge and enablement here because you will be able to act on it as you walk to work. Welcome!
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome And yes, that’s of course my 33 Stradale, I did a long term loan to AlfaRomeo to have it in their museum in Arese Wrist shots! Sadly I sold the Ref.14744 Seamaster a few months ago and had a massive regret shortly after... what was I thinking?! Must find another one now... btw I have the Omega bug since I was gifted, many years ago, with my grandfather’s daily watch, the Türler signed automatic you see in the pics below. He bought it in the Türler boutique some 60 years ago! Oh, and the Cosmic actually has the correct end links, that pic was taken the day I bough it, the PO butchered a pair of #70 end links to “fit” (NOT) the case... with a horrible results of course... managed to save the #70 as well with some gentle steel bending maneuvers
Love your Türler, debating on going down that route for further vintage pieces... need to start saving!
Excellent answer on the 33, and your Seamaster Cosmic is super-elegant. Look forward to hearing and seeing more from Milan, I worked for Alfa Romeo for many years and still miss my regular trips out to Arese, (though Linate Airport on a Friday afternoon remains in my mind a possible Hieronymus Bosch 'installation!')
