I'm posting a recent purchase to see if anyone is knowledgeable about this reference and willing to provide some feedback. I picked this up locally as part of a lot that was inherited by a friend of a collector. The collection was eclectic, and my overall impression was that he wore his watches, but did not tamper with them or polish them. The last photo shows the Heuer with two other watches I purchased in this lot.

Based on my reading of the onthedash collectors guide for this reference (https://www.onthedash.com/watches/2446-c-gmt/) it appears to be correct for a "Mark 3", but I really don't know what I don't know. The case is a snap-back compressor style, which was a PITA to open. The movement is a Valjoux 724 (presumably a GMT variant of the V72), working properly and looking superficially ok, thankfully.

The condition seems to be sort of mid-range, with a sharp case and a dial that is attractive overall, with signs of aging. The branded Gay Freres bracelet came with the watch, which was a nice bonus.

I've also been trying to determine a rough value ... as usual C24 is not particularly helpful. I found a handful of auction sales from 2024-2025 and they were broadly in the range $6200-$8400, depending on condition, presence of bracelet, etc. I included Mark 2 and Mark 3 examples in this pool, but not Mark 1, which appear to be significantly more desirable. So my guesstimate is in the ballpark of $7k USD.

Many thanks in advance for any comments or opinions on any aspect of this.

The usual place place to look is Heuer Price Guide where you can also buy the Heuer reference work for the Autavia by the same people. Prices are in GBP but include both private and dealer amounts.

This looks an interesting watch -- not that I have several grand to drop on a watch, but a GMT is top of my desire list.

the "nice bonus" is a really nice bonus for reason, that it is the
double grain beads of rice bracelet with HLB endlinks

minimum 3500 euro for the bracelet

I clearly need to do more research on the separate valuations of watch and bracelet. I had just been noting total values from auction sales.

Check the clasp of the bracelet for corrosion or bodged repairs. In my experience the Heuer GF bracelets are excellent but they are prone to both ham fisted repairs and corrosion, both of which have a significant impact on value.
If I’m good condition I’d say the bracelet, as it’s a double grain is around £3000

The clasp has some wear, but overall the bracelet is fortunately in great condition with very little stretch.

Correct on all. It looks nice and as said the bracelet is a really nice add-on.

The bracelet is very hard to find. It gives added value to the watch.

Thanks everyone for the information about this watch. This is the best community. After living with it for a few days, I decided to pass it on, and what I learned here helped me put a fair price on it.

Much more, huh. And you don't even know how much I sold it for. Do you realize how obnoxious you sound?

Yep, the Monday morning quarterbacks always have an opinion based on what dealers or C24 sellers are asking. Everyone thinks selling for top dollar is easy until they actually try it. A wannabe dealer on IG told me the same about another watch I was selling. And meanwhile, he is selling the same watch and it has been sitting for months and he keeps posting it and promoting it. Maybe you're a "dealer" too. I'm not a dealer ... I'd rather put the correct price on it, and sell it quickly and easily to an enthusiast who wants it. I've listed a lot of watches here, and that's how I always try to do it.

After learning about the desirability of the bracelet here, I gathered actual auction sale prices (for examples with and without the bracelet), compared with the Heuer price guide, and eventually I was confident I understood actual market value. It's not my first rodeo. Then I adjusted for condition (dirty sub-dials), and put a fair price on it, which was more than my estimate in the OP. Some people made offers, but I waited a day or two and got my price.

;-)) no problem, I'm not a psychiatrist, that's why my advice was free, but I've been collecting Heuer for more than 25 years and a little knowledge has certainly stuck with me 😀)
Attached a pic of a few of my 1960ties Heuer "grails"

Well then, congratulations!
but you wrote: "...So my guesstimate is in the ballpark of $7k USD"" and thats definitely undervalued if the GF was included... But we don't need to talk about yesterday's news ;-)

Yep, it's an old thread, where I was looking for advice on how much the watch was worth. And I got the information I needed, including the value of the bracelet.
