For sale is a Heuer Autavia 2446C GMT, a truly unique reverse panda chronograph with a GMT function.

These do not come up that often and in good condition. The dial is in excellent conditions, all lumes original and intact. The case is in good condition, chamfers intact, marks on the side as pictures show. The caseback has been polished, but you can see the faint engraving of the Heuer Autavia logo. The chrono hand has been replaced with a very similar shape and color, it is however 1/2mm short from the original, but barely noticeable in my opinion. The minute hand of the lume has stabilized slightly in a small area, which was done by the previous owner to cover a hole I believe. The GMT hand needs to be adjusted slightly, a small issue which would be done but is impossible for me to go to my watchmaker due to the pandemic. The bezel is beautifully faded as you can see, reflects with the natural light very well. The movement is the Valjoux 724, essentially a Valjoux 72 with a GMT function. Crown is signed and original. Lug width is 20mm. Serial is 131,XXX. Overall, a lovely vintage chronograph from the 60's with a unique GMT function.
Watch has not been serviced in my possession but during my rotation of wearing this watch, no issues here. All functions working, service history unknown, as always I recommend a service for daily wear.

Watch located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Asking $9,000 USD net to me. Shipping with EMS, DHL or FedEx. Watch is sold as-is. Prefer to do wire transfer or PayPal Gift. PayPal is accepted please add 4% and provide buyer reference. References available at request.

Great offer here on OF for a beautiful vintage early Heuer GMT, really appreciate the offer. The offered watch is IMHO not an MK1, not from the serial number and not from the dial Layout.

The MK1 was in the range of serial no. 108xxx to 111xxx (see Chronocentric Archive) and had a different dial the so called shourt fourty dial, See bellow.

So your nice piece should be a MK2 piece (see reference table from Jeff Stein) and thats ok.

I can't believe that this beauty is still available, and at a very fair price IMO. If I didn't already have one!
