In my experience as a seller on eBay I can say that the buyer do not have to have a reason to return a product. It happen me several times and all that they said it "was not as expected" . The bad part for me was, that I also had to pay for the return although I specified in the listing that the buyer pay in case of return. Some strange rules on eBay and I do not use it anymore.

and to think that as mentioned all of this info could have been provided regards the dubious construction of this watch before a single penny was handed over....

it's a process, i doubt there are many of us who haven't looked before they leapt and bought something with more emotion than logic making the buy decision , and to be honest i think it's almost necessary when beginning to collect anything, if you make a mistake and learn from it, it sharpens the senses to exercise more caution with future purchases, but do learn, a lot of good info on this forum, i bet there isn't a single Tour de France winner who has never fallen off his bike, don't worry about the sniffy comments there'll always be those types

It is reputed that there are cal562 chronometers because they are listed as such in Omega's records.

However, despite repeated requests, no-one on the forum has posted a chronometer-rated cal562.

Except from Omega's full list of calibres

As a general rule - If a Connie (of any reference) has a cal 562 movt - it's best to assume it is wrong unless it is accompanied with an extract stating it is chronometer rated.
But as I said, no-one has ever presented a cal562 as a bona-fide chronometer rated movt - and if the members of OF don't have one, then they either don't exist or are as rare as hen's teeth.

From ranfft:

I don't know how to interpret that. In particular the "after Omega".

I stand corrected and humbled, the issue is not so clear cut.
