Hi
I have a Dynamic that has a detached crown which just won’t click into the male part of the stem
Do I need to buy a stem only and attach the existing crown or is the female part of the stem permanently attached to the stem?
Hope this makes sense?
Many thanks

Could just as easily be a worn male stem.

Some of the crowns are permanently attached to the stem.

Sorry to bother you again but would you happen to know the thread on a Dynamic stem as I’m also trying to extract a stem from another where it has detached way the crown?
My plan is to try and screw on a stem extended to give me a way of pulling out and replacing but need to get correct thread and diameter
Cheers

I'd help but I don't quite understand what you're trying to do. Did the crown AND female post come off? Or did just the crown come off?

As mentioned above, if your crown and female post came off then it needs to be correctly pushed back in and reattached. Sometimes the male stem wears down and needs to be replaced, so even if you push the crown back in, it will not reattach. In this case, the movement has to be removed from the case and the stem has to be replaced.

if the crown is the only thing that came out, why don't you just try to screw the crown back in and pull out the female post? A stem extender could help you do this. I'm pretty sure the crown would be tap 10, so a .9mm stem thread diameter.

Hi
The crown has snapped off the stem and so it won’t screw back leaving the stem in the barrel without sufficient showing to get pliers around
Will try and get extension on it unless any other ideas
Thanks

It appears that you will need a new female split stem -
081ST9992 | 1/2 HANDSETTING STEM CROW D.0,90.

If you can't get the broken stem out of the existing crown, then the new crown for this would be 069ST42528.
