Help: Speedmaster Racing minute subdial reset issue

Hey there Omega lovers! I need your expertise. In April, I purchased an Omega Speedmaster Racing on the secondhand market from a jeweler in Tokyo. It’s in beautiful condition and runs great except for one problem (that I unfortunately didn’t notice when purchased). The minute counter subdial for the chronograph complication does not reset to zero. I think it was at zero when I purchased it and it’s slowly creeping further away. Has anyone experienced this problem with an Omega? Any thoughts on what may be the cause or suggestions on possible fixes?

I am not as familiar with the automatic versions as I am the hand-wound speedy pros, but sounds like Chrono Creep. Fairly common, but will need to be serviced to be corrected. Not cheap to correct but shouldn’t be difficult for a trained technician.

These are 7750 based movements so I would assume almost any real watchmaker could service this. I don’t think the addition of the co-axial escapement would change that part of the watch.

Not really chrono creep...

The 3330 has a relocated minute counter, and they do this by changing the configuration of the minute counting wheel, and then adding some extra wheels on the dial side to move the counter to 9 o’clock. So although the co-axial feature doesn’t affect this, the relocation of the counter does if parts are required.

Now this could be as simple as the tube on the hand is loose, but you won’t know that until someone digs into it. If parts are needed someone with an Omega account would be best.

I thought it was a 7753 with the co-axial added, which is just the 3304 with the co-axial, as I have been told.

Am I wrongly using "7750 based" as a catch-all for all the variations of the 7750 out there?

Nope, it has far more modifications than just adding the co-axial...

7750 based, but quite a bit removed from the 7753...

Thank you all for sharing your expertise. I guess I’ll have to take it to a jeweler for service. Best place to look for a trusted vendor? I’d prefer to have at least the initial inspection be in-house rather than sent away.
