Hey,

was looking to buy my first omega and found a vintage seamaster online I really like and am considering buying.

From what I could gather it looks like a 166.0263 to me but I had trouble finding any listings that look similar. Sadly the seller has not pictures of the movement and I wasn't sure if asking them to open it is a good idea.

No box, no papers and the price he is asking for is around ~650usd.

Are there any immediate red flags in the pictures? Appreciate any help!

Not a particularly desirable reference and it looks like the gold plate has worn off the tips of the lugs. I’d pass even at $200

Do you know the exact reference this is?

If you like it I guess the price isn’t too excessive for an Omega Auto but as noted above if there is any wear to the plate at all you should walk as then any price is too high.

I rly like the model and this colour variation but haven't found anything comparable yet sadly, i'll probably keep looking.

I like the markers' style, but it is too expensive for the condition and the model. Be patient and keep looking, I'm sure you will find something cool!
