Not bad at first glance, but it would be nice to have better photos of the dial, and obviously photos will be needed of the movement and the inside case-back before purchasing. As you know, the value takes a significant hit from the absence of the DON bezel. I suspect that the crown has 32 teeth, but I can't really count them from the photos shown.

I’ll echo what Dan said. Need more photos and in focus ones at that. Would also be helpful to know how much they are asking for it.

it would be better also if the seller has disclosed some negative points or issues and share it here.
if none, it's a good move to seek any help at OF. and as the expert said, they can really help you
on your first purchase. just be patient.

How much is the asking price? You can factor in the price of DON crown and maybe the bracelet

All thank you for quick replies.

I believe I can get for 5500 to 6k US dollars. I plan to take watch to omega boutique to have 321 movement verified, model number and serial number checked and bounced off each other to confirm that they are appropriate for each other and confirm that all is working correctly. Owner stated that it had a recent service within last 2 years.

Case seems that in good condition, dial appears original.

I’m not sure how to confirm dial. Discussions of wide set T at bottom, not clear to me?

I am less sure chronograph sweep hand is original but it could be. Flat bottom, very white, but lume on tip does show appropriate patina.

Will verify crown also at Omega.

Any further thoughts appreciated.

Thanks again.

I agree with giminix7 - it looks like the chrono hand is new too - maybe even relumed - it´s difficult to see on these pictures. The case though - looks sharp. But without the correct lynette I will say the price is in the high end (USD 6.000)

I doubt that you are going to find people at an OB with the specific expertise to provide the detailed information you want about this vintage watch. You would be better off getting photos of the inside before purchasing, and doing your own research (or requesting help in this thread).

The wide Ts are correct. The sweep hand may be repainted or relumed, but it could also be original. Impossible to say from those photos; lume is often color-matched. We need high magnification photos, and UV shots would help as well. Figure $4k or so to add a nice bezel and the correct crown, so it's not exactly a bargain at $5500. Maybe you could offer somewhat less given the current value of the bezel.

Dan S thank you for the feedback. I will attempt to get better pictures.

Additional pictures as recommended. Looks like crown is replacement. Still need to get back case model - number and movement serial number comparison. Intend to do so on Monday. Appreciate feedback on current pictures.

Is it just me or does the 1 o’clock lug look polished but not the 11 o’clock? Case line on that lug looks a bit dodgy. Someone feel free to overrule me on this

All current pics now up. Still need to confirm inside of case. Hopefully monday. Seller has been patientt and responsive and is local. I trust he is honest, but I he is not aware of watch history other than he bought in 2018 and his frequent watchmaker confirmed there had been a recent service and he reseat the seal and the new owner verified the 321. I am not clear he confirmed the serial/ model match. My question based on current pics and a proper serial matching is 5500 to high. It seems reasonable based on what I’m seeing online knowin abou 4000 between crown, bracket, and don bezel?

I don't know if you'd really be able to get a decent DON bezel, a correct crown, and a 1039 bracelet with 516 end links for $4k. Those bracelets are going for a minimum of $1,500, and the crown will cost a few hundred at least. That would only leave roughly $2k for the bezel, and I don't know if you'd be happy with what you could get for that price. I think you are looking at adding $5k-$6k, depending on the condition of the parts and accessories.

Also, the newer photos show significant lume loss on about half of the markers, which affects value. I think that $4k-$4,500 cash would be a solid offer. Saves him the trouble of listing it, paying fees, shipping, etc.
