It is personal preference. I tried on all the watches and kept coming back to the GSOTM Meteorite.

I would highly recommend a speedy pro on leather with heselite, your 4th option.

I think the black ceramics at 44mm are a little too big for you, but of course it鈥檚 entiely your preference when it comes to size; they are big for most people, but some like that.

The 42mm is still large, it gives you wrist presence as a biproduct of being a very readable and functional watch.

Therefore as a tool it鈥檚 perfect but on leather is very versatile in most attire, looks classy and with heselite you get a beautiful clear view of the dial and that lovely dome affect. Therefore 70s and even up to 90s speedys are very popular with collectors as you get character thrown in too. You just have to be careful to spot repairs and dial / hands mismatch or worse still new parts with old.

An alternative for your wrist size is the CK2998 and the mentioned FOIS which is easy to pick up with a discount on RRP... at 39.4mm it鈥檚 the perfect size for me although I do love the pro more for its character and deployment clasp.

In my opinion, a classic speedy and further on you can hunt on limited editions. 2019 seems an interesting year for speedys...

Agree, I spent an hour in an Omega boutique yesterday chatting to the manager about speedmasters. My irate wife had to come and physically haul me out of the store in the end otherwise I鈥檇 still be there now! 馃榾

Of all the pictures you posted, I'd go for Pitch Black (third one down, ref. 311.92.44.51.01.004) purely because all that luminova looks soooooo cool in the dark. Go back to the boutique, light it up with your phone torch for thirty seconds or so, then look at it with hands cupped over; it's an awesome sight.

I just don't know how the black finish will hold up over the long haul.

Unless you work with diamond tipped tools the ceramic cased Speedmasters will look perfect forever, they won't scratch like steel.

Lots of good suggestions given already, it really depends on what looks good to you.

They all look pretty big to me. Try a FOIS or CK for size and see how you feel about those.

Of the ones you picture, speedy pro for me.

The question is, do YOU like it enough to shell out about $8,800 + tax for the watch? It looks sharp, but will it wear well once the novelty wears off? No idea, but these types of designs can be hit or miss. Personally I think it would have looked better without the peek-a-boo dial, but Omega never discussed it with me.

I actually really liked it more then I thought I would. My question is, are they going to be 40% off plus in a year like the other dsotm's
