Hi brain trust,

Hoping I can turn to you for some help! Have a beautiful 1961 gold Seamaster, I have always worn it on a strap but I’m interested in sourcing a BOR. Threw out a WTB thread, but with the help of some amazing members realizing I need to get more information to get more specific on what bracelet and end links will work for this particular watch. Attaching pictures below, it’s a Ross case made for the American market, reference number LL6590-1

I can confirm the lug width is 18mm. Was thinking that would be a 1037 with maybe 513 or 564 end links, but not sure.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

If it was a steel version the end links would be 70 or 570. I don’t know if it’s the same reference numbers for gold?

Thanks for the info. Yeah, that’s the tricky part, I would imagine it’s the same for gold, but being a Ross made case…

American Market were in inches, double check width, might be a bit less than 18mm.

metal not as forgiving as leather

The lugs tops look slightly more basic than the Swiss version but the caseback and reverse of the lugs seems comparable. Obviously the only real way to tell is to try a pair, unless you can find a picture of the same case with a well fitting bracelet or another member has one.

11/16" or 17.25mm.

Just found this video:

According to the OE, lug width is 18mm, in which case I'm with @Davidt that 70 or 570 should work fine. It's a little detail, but I think the 570s are a little longer than the 70s? Possibly depends on the manufacturer, but I've found the shorter 70s fit a little better

I could only try on another SMDV I have here though, no US-ref LL6590 pre-DeVille.

The good thing is: 1503/70s were produced in masses and are used on many refs, also the prices are pretty stable. Find one for ok money and give it a try - if it really doesn't fit because the case does end up being slightly different, you'll sell it without loss.

You are a gentleman and a scholar, Matt, thank you!

Threw out a WTB thread,

yea i seen that thread of yours. what you fail to realize is I already posted the same WTB thread before you so if there's any gold filled/plated thingies available I deserve it much more than you because I'm special. my mom told me.

I’d say may the best man win, but the fact that you’re giving away free bumps to my thread…

Confirming this should work.

My LL6590-1 (17.8mm):

My #70s (17.8mm):

And your 70s are the wider models, just like my 570s. Consequently, the difference doesn't lie in the number, but in the manufacturer. Thank you 😀

If only it were that easy.

I've read Omega still sells the 5-Row BOR as part 3010/511.

My dealer couldn't locate a clasic 7-Row, but he can get the 1980s version of the 7-Row, which has a different clasp; part 1444/800.

Swinging back around on this, anyone know how 22 endlinks compare to 70s?
