Hi all,

I am on the lookout for a beads of rice bracelet for my Seamaster 2577-2.
Lug width = 18mm.

Did some research, but so far it's not clear to me which BoR bracelets / end links will fit.
Ref. 1036?
Ref. 1502?

So any help is welcome!

Thanks,
MJK

First, congrats for this very nice watch 👍

I guess that you want a 5 row to match those beefy lugs. A RG 1036, 1038 or 8220, with endlinks #11, 12 or 512 would certainly wears well on this ref 2577. OF have some experts about BoR bracelets, guess they're on their way 😗

Nice looking watch that. You are maybe already aware that the BOR is later than the 2577 and wouldn't have been seen in period, but it is still a good addition. As well to those mentioned above, 14 links would likely fit too, they look pretty much identical to no 12s to me. I use a 1036 on my later 2846 which has the same case form factor.

The current version is 3010/511. I was quoted $450, I think.

By the way, case anyone didn't catch it, the 3010/511 is a five-row bead of rice with 11 end links that is currrently available new from Omega.

Great question asked cause I need to know too lol. I have a 2576, I've got a bracelet but no endlinks. The clasp just says Omega Stainless Steel nothing else 5 row BOR.

I think I would indeed like a five row best on this one 😀

Would there be any period correct bracelets that you know of?

I don't think there is, AFAIK the 2576/7 was always delivered on a leather strap. I have never seen a period shot of a fat lug bumper Seamaster on a bracelet. The bracelets seem to appear later in the 1950s, the bumper models were gone by 1955.

I would still call the 5 row BOR period correct for an early Seamaster since these were sold as accessories, people often upgraded from strap to bracelet once the original strap wore out.

1955 Omega Seamster 2767 with a new Omega-sourced 3010/511 Beads of Rice bracelet. The 511 end links are serviceable but not a perfect fit.

Hardly surprising, given that the BoRs were never intended for this reference. 2577s were introduced long before the bracelet. Yours is a later example with the beefier lugs, which works a bit better with the #11/#511s I found. The earlier 2577s are harder to fit.
