Hello from a mechanical watch newbie :)

Hello !

I'm a 35 yo french canadian woman (not sure if we are many around) and always loved wearing watches.
It's only since recently that I have started to get interested to mechanical watches 😀

My collection is still limited to a bunch of Seiko and a Junghans Max Bill that I wear most of the time.

But I recently came accross this beautiful vintage unishell Omega Seamaster, model unknown so far. Based on my research this could be a 14770 from the 60s with a 562 movement.



I'm not a "gold person", but for some reason this dial spoke to me and I couldn't stop looking at it 🥰.

The watch is in a really good condition (gold capped or plated) and everything seems original, the crystal even has the omega logo.
Only the bracelet (omega 8260) is in pretty bad shape, the clasp seems a bit damaged and difficult to keep it closed properly (or I don't do correctly 🤔).
Paid 400$ which seemed pretty fair to me.

Anyway, now I'm on the hunt for a steel Constellation pie pan with the 10-sided crown and arrow head index...
I'm trying to learn how to spot the redials/franken since I'm looking for an original.. I know that's gonna be difficult to find myself, but I'm not in a rush.

Thanks everyone ! I plan to take really good care of this Seamaster as soon as I found a replacement strap or bracelet.
