Have you worn your Speedmaster skiing?

I would never wear a Speedie skiing (snowboarding in my case). My season ended this year with 3 fractured vertebrae, a massive concussion, broken helmet and cracked phone. I would not have been happy with a broken watch in the equation.

Of course, YMMV if you generally stay sliding on snow rather than doing stupid stuff involving a level of aviation like me.

Inspired by this thread, I'll be taking mine skiing within the week -- I expect it will manage better than I do.

It will not be coming to the lodge spa with me however. I've got Seikos for that difficult work.

Not being able to take the Speedy to the spa is probably the biggest issue when taking it on a ski trip...

I've worn both the speedy pro and the x33 skiing. No issues. I like in canada, I ski alot, and my watches get more wet when I wash my hands than they do on the slopes 馃槈

Hi folks,

I鈥檓 curious if any of you guys wear your Speedy when skiing (snow, not water). It seems like it should be perfectly fine but I鈥檓 just thinking about the inevitable crashes and snow getting up the sleeve. Seems the watch would be wet for a considerably longer time than recommended. Mostly I鈥檓 just looking for an excuse to get another watch before the next time I go skiing. Hahaha.

Thanks!

To be fair with you, i have used my speedy moonwatch hesalite crystal skiing few year ago and i didn't have any issues... of corse, i wasn't completely wet but i had some crashes and it was absolutely fine!! What i can say to you is go and enjoy your Speedy!! 馃槈馃槈馃槈

I am just back from a weeklong ski trip where I wore my Speedy, along with my SMP 300, on the slopes and lifts and around town with zero issues. I will say that the Speedy is a lot easier to fit under a ski coat sleeve.

This sounds a lot like a "is it safe" thread over on the Rolex Forums. Kinda why I rarely visit that website any longer.
