Hands-On With The White-Dial Omega Speedmaster “Daniel Craig”

Started the day wearing the Ed White, which took 3 years to obtain from the OB:

I had the opportunity to see the white dial Speedmaster back in May:

This one was already claimed. Thus, I couldn’t try it on the wrist. I asked to be placed on the list and no deposit was required. Well, I got the ‘call’ last Saturday. Unfortunately, with my heavy travel schedule, I had to wait until today to take delivery:

FedEx delivered before 10:30!

Congrats! I love the Snow White nickname for it especially alongside the Ed White in that photo.

After securing the snoopy 50th recently I keep trying this on at the boutique and convincing myself I don’t want / need it. But who am I kidding. I love how great this looks on the rubber and leather straps, and how sharp that dial looks in the right light.

I have money aside for the non date sub, to add a much needed diver to my collection.. am I crazy using it for yet another Speedmaster? Note I’ve also got the Ed White 321 which I’m worried might not get as much wrist time, I’ve already considered selling it a few times mainly due to the amount of cash I have tied up in it.
I sold my 321. Nice watch but meh. I also ended up selling my Snoopy 3 which I kind of regret. This white Speedy though is better than both the other 2 imo. Love the lacquered dial and applied markers. On a side note, I’m liking the new lacquered Aqua Terra 41 too.

LMAO! That’s the first think that came across my mind when I took that photo! I’m glad I’m not the only one suffering from OCD!😁

Finally got some pics this morning. Super white dial, which I like, but the presentation caseback is my favorite to see the gorgeous movement unlike the other two (hesalite modded FOIS on the left with pre-moon caseback and obviously Snoopy animation on the other).

Broad Arrow re-issue dial (3954.50) relumed (ZnS). Just to prevent more posts not related to Snow White about it for those interested the crown is Trilogy, caseback pre-moon, hands original vintage, bracelet is Forstner. It feels super lightweight compared to Snow White, which is nice and heavy that I much prefer. 😀 Light watches feel kinda cheap to me so I'm really liking this all steel bracelet sapphire sandwich compared to my others. Always wanted sapphire caseback...

Absolutely love the lume of the black speedy, but the white face gets me every time.

I haven't seen the black with white stitching in person yet, but really looks good in photos

Yeah I gotta admit I am not too hopeful to be able to just walk in there and find one .
But it is all I got since availability in Brazil has been close to nothing, I heard from the sales associate that they only received like 5 since release and for the last few months haven’t been able to request any…
Fingers crossed
I emailed the Boutique in Champs-Élysée a few days in advance and they held one for me, but while I was there I saw multiple, so it’s widely available in there.
Of course it is more expensive than in the US, but being from Brazil I don’t get many chances, and considering the VAT return it gets pretty close, so I’m more than happy!

They also threw in some Olympics swag in for good measure
