Grandfathers Seamaster Calendar

Greetings! Today I've finally been putting in some time to properly identify this watch. I didn't know my grandpa, and Im just begining to learn about this specimen. I believe the dial is somewhat rare? Considering the Arabic numerals. It's probably somewhat broken, it seems to stop ticking rather quickly. Plus it's quite dirty. I would love to get a run down on its value, and perhaps how to restore it. I don't have the tool to take the back off and see it's internals...

Tell us where you're located and we'll likely be able to recommend a watchmaker.

Guessing 353 bumper movement due to lugs. Gold cap case (back steel)

Jewelers rouge cloth to polish a little. Dial could be refinished if needed. Replace hands if you do that.

Crown. Sort of dome shaped. Replacements gold plated. Not a great match, but not much of a choice

Leather strap

You’ll want to get a different strap for sure, those spring-loaded end links tend to wear through the lugs

I love the Arabic dial. Have it serviced and then change the crown (bowler hat) strap and enjoy.
