1957 Seamaster Calendar Ref 2849-2: Original Dial?

Hello everyone,
I just registered to share and get some expert insight on a vintage piece in my collection. It is a 1957 Omega Seamaster Calendar powered by a Caliber 503 movement (Serial: 15595254). The caseback is stamped Ref 2849-2.
What really caught my attention under the microscope is the spelling on the dial—it explicitly reads "Seamaster CALENDER" with an "ER" at the end. I’ve read a bit about this era-specific Swiss-English text anomaly, but I wanted to show it to the true experts here.
I’ve attached clear photos of the dial script, movement, and caseback stamps. I would love to hear your thoughts on this variant's history and rarity.

As you have probably noticed - no photos

What you need to do is click on ADD PHOTOS OR FILES, go into your photo library, select those you want to share, click on the blue tick in the top right corner (if it’s an iPhone) and the selected photos should appear at the bottom of your post.

Click on 'insert' so they appear within your reply and the press REPLY

Thank you! It really is an incredible piece, and the 'ER' misspelling definitely makes it unique.

AI slop, presumably. There is an increasing amount of totally incorrect information being generated and perpetuated internet. AI hallucinations, and then people on reddit and elsewhere repeating the AI hallucinations as fact.
