Hi English @Longbow
Wait a minute ! Are you trying to tell me both You & the Big Kahuna Stephen Urquhart are wearing the same GlbM version...??? Ha66x!
Classy Englishman !

Appreciate you taking the trouble to point out the Blue Dial 18K Sedna Gold looks stunning in the flesh. You sound so excited ! What was on the Bavarian lunch menu ? October Fest is still a long way...Ha6x! The problem lies with me. I cannot afford to have unwarranted distractions & uncomfortably answering GlbM questions from a friendly but inquisitive Malaysian public as i deal with them on a daily basis. Yeah.. i play watersports on weekends so leather's Not an option. My GlbM needs to be elegant yet unassuming , understated but underneath packs a "serious knockout punch"
i'l wait for another 2/3 mths post BaselWorld but my mind is already fixed firmly on 013.030 39.21.03.001.If i'm gonna pay RM22500.xx in my native currency , i friggin Damn Bloody' want to feel its substantial weight in Steel / TC on my wrist !!! I'm thrilled for You @Longbow Wishing You the Best of Luck ,Health Wealth & Happiness. Maybe...just maybe.. you could.. well..i would..go to the nearest church & ask the priest or Father to bless your GlbM too... !!

You mean 130.30.39.21.03.001 right? That would certainly make more sense if you are going to submerge it. What sort of watersports are you planning to subject it to? Remember it doesn't have a screw-down crown. If you want a watch for diving that is good for really any depth and is perfectly readable without reflections you might like the Sinn UX (EZM 2B).http://www.sinn.de/en/Modell/UX.htm. There is a nice image of it compared to all the usual diver suspects here http://www.sinn.de/en/HYDRO.htm.
Anyway, that's just another distraction. I guess you would like some photos....I'm on it!

A belated congratulations @Superdoc on the arrival of your Platinum Baby 😀

Would it be fair for me to say that you personally had a significant influence on Omega's decision to keep the date window off the platinum Globemaster? If this is the case, then DOUBLE congratulations are in order!

Thanks for the nice compliments 😀.

With images 2 and 3 I was trying to show how much separation there is between the second/minute hands and the hour hand, as if there is space for an extra complication to be added. Was the annual calendar designed in from day 1 of the Globemaster development or is there something else to expect at Baselworld 2016....GMT maybe?

Is that a picture of Zoolander and a rather aged, but extremely well dressed Mr. Bean? Is that your "Blue Platinum" look?😁

Just joking @Superdoc...you are probably one of the few forum members who look as good as the watch they are wearing😉...big congrats on your outstanding Platinum dial Globemaster...Stephen does seem to be a class act and good fun to hang out with. 😎

Cheers!

Indeed...a well executed Globemaster GMT might interrupt a very recent initiative of mine to source a pre-owned a Rolex 16710 Coke bezel GMT II.

Well... JC Monachon did tell me that my email was influential...😁

It is likely a bit of lip-service... But I'll take it...

Indeed my best Zoolander...
Everyone at Omega from Stephen down is amazing... It's such a big multinational company, yet it is so intimate in so many ways... They all just really love watches..

While I understand the history and certainly don't dispute it, I think the fact that so many people who are not die hard Omega fans think it looks like a DJ copy, that for the casual observer, that's what it is (even though it isn't).

that!

but then again, even Mr. Bond had to learn to live with that line: "Is that a Rolex?"

Dear @al128

Train scene Casino Royale conversation btw Daniel Craig & Eva Green's Vesper Lynd

" Nice Watch "
" Is that a Rolex ? "
" Omega "
" Beautiful "

I believe Daniel Craig had in fact banished the "Rolex stigmata" with a brilliant answer & repositioned Omega as equal if not better than Rolex.

When a Gorgeous Sexy French Actress gives her seal of approvel...Trust Me... Daniel Craig could live with the fact that he had single handedly exorcised the ghost of Rolex & ushered in the era of Omega

Oh....Mr Bond did indeed sleep well that night...with a devilish smile on his face...

Au contraire ,

Lady thinks it's a beautiful watch, and associates this fact with the Rolex brand . ..

Bond needs to rectify this by making clear that Omega now also builds beautiful watches... I always felt O. paid for a R. ad... as it "cements" who is the gold standard for watches (at least from a Joe Doe perspective).

Great fries. .. are those McDonald's ?. .. No they are X. The relevant brand here is McDonald's and not X.

In a Male dominated forum i can fully appreciate your Reasoning @al128 but i really do not want to get into an argument with you

Let's just Agree to Disagree... after all..... Men are from Mars.....Women are from Venus.....
The Language of Expressions can be misinterpretated by both parties

Cheers @al128

for me the nicest implementation of a date complication that I have seen in quite a while:

It's not too much "in your face", yet the information is right there without breaking symmetry
