Getting Speedy regulated at OB?

I don’t have an Omega Boutique anywhere near here in New England otherwise I would’ve asked them. My Speedmaster pro 1861 (still under warranty) runs a bit on the fast side. Not drastic but I’m sure it can do better (my Speedmaster reduced pretty much runs at +/-0 and can run for months without needing to be set). Probably consistently at +7 to 8 sec a day. Not enough to send it in.
But I’m wondering if an Omega boutique would do an on the fly regulation in house.
Like I said not getting to one here in the US any time soon (the closest is in New York City, which is kind of sad if you think about one of the most densely populated and wealthiest regions in the US not being attended to…). But I’ll be in Munich in the Summer and had great experiences with them in the past dropping a watch of for service (unlike the Omega service center experiences in the US…).
If I walk in there and with only being there for a few days would they do this at all? Under warranty or for a fee doesn’t really matter.

Don’t know where in New England are you based, but you don’t have to go to NYC. Manfredi Jewels in Greenwich has an experienced watchmaker

Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind. Not interested in any independents or subcontractors right now (not the best experience with those and then you have no place to go if things go wrong)

It would need to be an Omega Boutique with a watchmaker on staff. I think difficult to find one. The San Diego OB has a technician on staff (where I use to live) and the Naples, Florida OB (near where I currently live) does not.

If your watch is consistent, it is probably better to just leave it alone.

Every time you have your watch opened, you can potentially introduce something unforeseen.
What if you got your watch regulated, and then it settles down to something like -4/day.

Then they try again for free.

I have been wearing mechanical watches for half a century, more or less. "Adjusted for wear" is pretty common.

My watchmaker never blinks. Though, he says "the first one is always free". I've relaxed a bit because I don't wear the same watch for a week anymore. Yes, +8 is within the spec. To tell a customer to blow because of it means that customer will find someone else.

Omegaforums is not actually affiliated with Omega, so you should contact the Omega Boutique directly with your question.

If you do go to an Omega Boutique be sure to call ahead to make sure the watch technician is actually there that day. In the past, the Houston OB didn't always have a technician on staff every day.

Is this the OB in fashion valley mall? I just bought a speedy at the Newport OB but live in SD and would like to know if this is a good OB to bring my watch to in the future.

I've had multiple experiences with the SD OB at Fashion Valley, all good. While I haven't had their technician regulate a watch for me, he's been very good with everything I've asked for help with.

The technician is actually a trained Omega watchmaker. I forgot which Omega service center he worked at, but he wanted to stay with Omega and move to San Diego.

My watches are all way past warranty, but if I had one still under warranty, nobody except an authorized Omega service provider would be touching it.
