None with a red bezel? Oh really?
Show me one single Speedmaster Professional (except of the rising sun) with a red bezel...

Quite special because there are none other manual wind speedmaster professional examples with this kind of color comnination.

But of course, you need to like red. Not the color for everyone 😉.

Nevertheless, I don’t think that it will be a model which will increase crazy in value. Maybe after decades... There are too many special editions nowadays. So just buy it if you really like the color combination

2nd line 4th from the left? Aka ba145.022

And it’s reissue that came out after that poster...

The vintage version and apollo 11 50th anniversary with a red bezel are absolutely beautiful. Was not thinking about the gold versions, only about the steel versions. So you’re right.
But on the affordable, steel version, the ‘rising sun’ is the only one.

Just out of interest, to which one are you refering with silver white dial and a red bezel?

I'll bet @Foo2rama refers to the platinum with diamonds.

But to make my point. There is only one, manual wind, steel version of a Speedmaster Professional with a red bezel which is affordable.
The PM versions are beautiful but quite expensive
-> two in gold
-> one with a moonphase

so if you want to go with a pure and simple steel speedy with red bezel, the rising sun is the way to go in my opinion

@raltobelli

you know I’m a huge fan of the rising sun. I’ve got a standing over to trade for my ultraman.

The Ultraman is a beauty!
Unfortunately I missed it and don’t have it in my collection.

Are you referring to this one;

not sure if he was referring to this one, as it is not a manual wind example.
I’m intrigued, I know the gold versions with a red bezel and the rising sun. But was not aware that there is a fourth one with a red bezel

I didn’t know about the blinged out ones. I was thinking of the non jeweled ones

I say all of the following with an air of astonishment, not assertiveness:

On a quick look around the inter-webs, I can hardly find any T2020 Pandas for sale. Meanwhile all other models are fairly available and - shockingly - apparently also still available in Tokyo for retail. (Another recent thread here on OF of chaps sorting out how to get them mailed out of Japan.)

I couldn’t find any Panda for sale on eBay or Recon.

Where I can find the Panda for sale is Chrono 24, and to find them you need only search “Tokyo 2020” and sort by price high->low:

Before any quips come rolling in, I understand how sales sites work, these are sitting, yadda-yadda. But same is also true of the many other non-panda offerings in comparison (and then there’s this shocking matter of all non-pandas still being available 2yrs later with only 2020 pieces made)?

Reminding again my tone of astonishment: WTF!?

Here is 28 pages to read.

Also they will always be available due to wrists being maimed by the caseback

@Longbow I wonder, any chance you have developed (or are developing) a minor allergy to nickel? This appears to be a contact dermatitis, as opposed to abrasion.

In which case, perhaps the “sharp” edges of the caseback provide just enough additional contact through the hair layer to give a reaction not normally experienced with smoother casebacks? And/or perhaps, given the intricacy of this caseback, Omega used a stainless with incidentally higher nickel content?

Sorry you’ve experienced that either way.

If I remember your original thread correctly, you ultimately swapped clasps for better size adjustment and that (mostly?) remedied the problem? Or did you also put a sapphire on back 😲

there are two people on this forum who have had this happen to them,

did they both have @Longbow or are you instead referencing the indentation photo posted earlier alongside @Longbow
