Ok maybe @STANDY needs to lay off on the moisturizer or something
Not my pictures, two different wrists and members comments on the case back.

@Longbow s review on the watch here

https://omegaforums.net/threads/bea...onal-limited-edition-tokyo-2020-panda.106586/

and a post from @Archer about several requests to change case backs on these

Two different people have noted this on forum, and as I've said, I've had people contact me to ask about swapping the case back due to this issue.

Wore mine (Rising Sun) every day for a month - and quite tight as I don't like my watch to move around on my wrist at all - I personally had no discomfort on my wrist neither did I have any scratches or anything -felt perfectly comfortable to me to be honest.

Having owned the blue reverse panda version, my own opinion is that the case backs on these are a deal breaker. Even if they don’t leave marks behind (I think this depends entirely on the person... the impressions left on my wrist were nice and crisp), the edges of the stamping feel rough and just cheap. I sold mine within a week of ownership.

I noticed number 170 in the tachometer scale not clearly printed. Though it’s very cosmetic. I can’t unsee it now . I tried rubbing gently with body spray but nope. It seems like printing issue. Anybody has seen this kind of issue? It might
Look silly, but can’t overcome it.

I’m not a fan of mods—certainly not a fan of having to mod a 6k+ watch so it is wearable. No thanks, Omega.

I have the blue reverse panda and it doesn’t bother my wrist at all. Don’t doubt others, but just wanted to chime in for a potential buyer. Guess it’s hit or miss depending on how the watch wears.

For a few people the sharp edges are irritating or simply distasteful to their idea of “what a watch should feel like.” If I felt that way, I’d move it out of my collection, too.

But to call it “unwearable” is a lot dramatic.

Reminds me of this guy:

Honestly, I don’t get what all the fuss is about with the case backs of these. I am wearing them often, no problem at all.

Some people who have high blood pressure and other conditions that cause water retention will have issues with imprinting and marks on skin (like the lines you may get from wearing socks).

So for me, the imprint basically replicated the caseback. If you have to see that every time you shift your wrist or happen to take the watch off, it makes the watch unwearable, yes. And honestly, it’s just cheap.

The print on mine is solid - is it possible you scratched it?

Fair enough! In that way, I find tourbillons unwearable, too 😁

Here are few. I tried to capture the dial in different lights. Tough to capture though. Only issue with the dial and hands is low light legibility not great. However it doesn’t bother me.😀
Lovely watch. Have you seen this review by RJ Broer and Karina Kwiatkowska for Fratello?

I know it's subjective but I think the green bezel version is the least attractive of the 5. IMO it would have looked much better if they had left the crown and pushers stainless steel.
Definitely a niche product. Hard to love imho.

OMEGA replaced the bezel. Though it took 2 months for me to get back the watch since it’s limited edition. Its not scratch, printing issue.

I just bought the red and green/sedna Tokyo 2020 speedmasters via C24. Seeing both in the flesh, although I really like the dial texture of the "Rising Sun", I’d say the “Golden Jade” is way more stunning overall. Pictures don't really do the "Golden Jade" justice.

I've been carefully monitoring progress of the Rising Sun on C24 and slowly but surely supply has contracted and prices are rising. Only 4 weeks ago you could pick one up from Japan at £5k (plus shipping, VAT and duties etc). Now the minimum price is £6k and the number of available watches has fallen. Worth taking into account if you were in the market for one.

have you happened to incidentally gleaned anything about the panda version? Not asking for any homework, only just if it’s been incidental to your careful tracking of rising sun

Unfortunately not. The price of them shot through the roof (and appears to have now plateaued) and I have been waiting for the same to happen to the Rising Sun. It is such a unique piece it was only a matter of time. In October 2020 you could pick them up for £4.5k in Japan and now the minimum price in Japan/HK is £6k (obviously plus tax, duties, shipping etc in both cases). That is a 44% increase (extrapolated over 12 months). I fully anticipate the price of Rising Suns in 12 months will be where Pandas are today. The purpose of my post was to bring this to people's attention in case they had their eye on one.
