The watch and bracelet were bought together at a deceased estates sale in South Australia a few years ago. $160AUD plus the auction fee. Less than $200AUD total. Sounds like I have a bargain

I have some doubts on the links - for me it looks like a rebuilt 7912.
The non stretch links should be folded and not plain as shown on your picture - same difference as for the 7836 vs. 78360 Rolex bracelets.
From the top to the bottom:
- The oldest (11) 1171 clasp, 633 engraved endlinks and very rare oldest buckle cover (29x15mm)

2. ...may i ask....the first and oldest model of 1171 bracelet with this special buckle cover, could this be suitable for a 145.022.-68 Transitional speedmaster or did they always come with a 1039 bracelet ?
