We Americans and french like to tease each others. But when things get hairy we share the same love of freedom and general values. Well, Paris and NY share an extra special thing.
Sorry I make so many mistake. It's late and pressure is still high. I'm going to bed folks.

thanks for your support. Don't cry for us, just enjoy life please.
You have my support and I have cried for you, you are on my doorstep.
When I look out of my bedroom window when I wake up in the morning I see your country and regret not learning your language and moving over there years ago.
Sending in the bombers and killing innocent men, women and children for revenge will solve nothing though.
Then again, they will be regarded as collateral damage that don't matter.

We won't and we will.

Sleep well and start all over tomorrow. Living well is the best revenge.

Don't let the bastards win.

I do not post a lot here and honestly just set up an account a few days ago. Am a regular over on TRF like many here that I recognize.

First and foremost my thoughts and condolences to those that have lost family and friends in the attacks in Paris and all over the world.

I think that like many Americans, I was furious after 9/11 and just wanted to see heads roll. I was also furious when home grown bombers who were anti government extremists bombed the WTC the first time and the federal building in OKC and so on and so forth.

I am sure many (especially French and Parisians) feel the same way right now. And that is completely understandable.

I will not debate the eye for an eye and who is right and wrong or the politics of the situation as that was not the spirit of the OP. It would be quite a stretch to say that taking the life of another human being is right under any circumstance.

In the end, when the emotions have settled, my thoughts generally end up in this general vicinity. There is no good that will come getting in the middle of a 10,000 year old holy war. Take all of our troops, vigilantly defend our country and deal with our own internal issues. Hunger, homelessness, poverty, crime etc. Let the Middle East fight it out amongst themselves. Everyone will hate us less and we would probably be better off.

I know that is a gross oversimplification of a very complex issue especially in today's "global economy" that is connected 100% of the time.

Some days you just wish you could put the toothpaste back in the tube and make everything simple again like when we were kids. But that is not the reality.

My Speedy and I look forward to positively contributing to the forum.

Don't let the bastards win...

Some of the bastards already ID'd. From now on and before they cross the street, they must look to the right and left for incoming traffic...and up for that drone flying over their head.

Sorry I just felt that it needed a little correction. 😉

The way I see it. ISIS is back on it's heels and is striking out the best way it can. In the middle east it is slowly being degraded. When a military unit is in danger of being over run, many times they will see striking out as their best means of survival. May be an act of desperation on their part. Only time will tell.

unless the enemy of my enemy is also my enemy and someone else's friend who is my friend...but also my others enemy's friend.

Rumsfeld? Is that you?

(No need to respond; we can leave it is a "known unknown"...or something.)

Our great Gov. here in Ohio, Kasuck, has declared that refugees from Syria will not be aloud into our state. What a great humanitarian and just so afraid of his own shadow.

Let's look at how big business thinks about this earth shattering event.
Dow + 237.77
Nasdaq + 56.74
S&P +30.15
The acts that occurred in Paris Friday evening were horrible. Even by USA standards they were horrible. But if you look at them from a big perspective, not the down fall of western civilization. I feel for those affected but the total devastation is only a few days worth here in the USA.
What a great country we are!
