Did you try and relieve the tension in the air by saying something witty, like "Sorry -- I did not recognize you with your clothes on! Now can someone please pass me the mashed potatoes?"

Alas, my wit was not fast enough on this occasion!

BC Ferries new “mandatory mask” sign, it’s a lot to swallow ::facepalm1::
I bet the public have given them an ear full.

Same... I didn't see it. Can't say I would have if not for the video mentioning it.

My daughter has just been approved for stem cell treatment / transplant to hopefully halt or possibly even reverse the damage done by Multiple Sclerosis.

Of course I went straight to Dr. Google for a better understanding. Not quite relevant to my research but made me smile:
https://www.sciencetimes.com/articl...s-and-disadvantages-of-stem-cell-research.htm
The Science Times said:
Disadvantages
The main disadvantage of stem cell research has to do with the way that they're acquired-that is, it involves the destruction of human embryos. This makes it immoral for those who believe that life begins at contraception.
Not sure if that's autocorrect, poor English or they're just doing it wrong at The Science Times.

That must have been done on an Apple iOS product using a relatively recent version of iOS with the newly-ruined ‘auto-correction’ which has retarded a lot of my written text in a similar fashion...

I'd noticed a sci fi series listed on a channel I seldom watch. I looked it up in the on demand section to watch an episode to see if it was something I'd get into.
In the very first scene I could tell the FX and costuming were no more sophisticated than those of a 70's Saturday morning kids serial. As it continued the set of some high ranking big wig reminded me of cheap hotel lobby. The actors, if you could call them that looked to be a mix of underwear models and out of work porn actors. Talent was non existent at any level.
The worst thing about it was that this dreck somehow managed to last into a second season.
I'd noticed a severe dropping off of TV series quality for the last few years but this was an embarrassment. Perhaps COVID has scared all the decent talent into bunkering down.

So when you have exhausted most of Netflix like most have. Nearly all the new stuff on Australian Netflix is new content from strange countries that is dubbed pretty badly.
Did watch a good Spanish looking series but you could tell the action adventure by the lead actor was all dubbed by a guy sitting in a chair and never running or moving.
Watched a Russian movie a day or two later and it was our same friend from a few nights ago. 🤦

From here...

Love the accurate description.

"
It is brownish, tropical.

It has an incredible patina, very beautiful.

The state is original, it is as seen in the photos, without restoring.
"

My guess is someone forgot to set the timer... or set it too long...

Just saw the old BC ferry post.

Remarkably similar to this:

Godspeed Jeff Bezos...the final frontier

What I don't understand is how did it go from paper to execution and no one said, "you know, this kinda looks familiar..."

Form follows function?
