Forstner bands relaunched

I think what he's saying with the second image is that we don't use a tapered inner clasp hinge. In the past I personally associated those with "cheap" aftermarket bands so wanted to make our lines clean and straight. But I take the point - even with the flex links, that clasp would be less visible if we used a tapered inner clasp.

Longbow - Looks like a dive extension as used on the Rolex Sub would help with that problem.

Yes, that might even do the job.

Yep. Looking again mine is pretty much directly on the ulnar with the crown almost reaching my hand itself. It is very comfortable like that but then I have never worn any differently

Mine has to be between bone and hand to be comfortable and look decent. Every time I see anyone wearing it the other side of the wrist bone, it looks stupid and on me it would give me numb fingers if it was tight enough to stay in place.

Edit: Does this not look ridiculous, halfway up the arm?

No, because it's not and many (most?) of us wear a watch that way.

Yes, tingle finger is a malady I avoid.

No, not at all. Most folks like the watch snug —- above the wrist bone.

If you flex your wrist and it’s leveraging pressure on the watch bracelet you’re probably damaging it... I believe @Archer has elaborated on this in days of yore and his opinion about low riders.

I would always have my bracelet / strap loose enough that I could get at least a finger between it and my wrist. Flexing has no effect on it.

Can't stand it being snug. If I have it snug enough to not move, I get no feeling in my hand and my skin on my wrist gets irritated requiring me to take the watch off and not be able to stand wearing one for 2 or 3 days until it calms down.

Ah, that's another story!
Then, do what works best for you. ... 😀

Has anyone tried the 19mm flat link on an older, straight lug pre-moon reference (eg, 105.002, 105.003, Ed White, etc.)? I know that the 19mm flat link fits the FOIS references from a few years ago, but didn’t know if that case is identical to the pre-moon straight lug references.

Just got this recently and did not expect the bracelet to accommodate my 22-mm Tudor. Feels strong, but very light.

Edit: forgot to say that it is very comfortable and is certainly a great bracelet to have.

Fits the watch nicely sir. Is this the newer 18mm wide or the original 16mm?

Thank you. That is the older version (16mm) and I am loving it! I think I will try a newer version, too.

Now that the forstner flat link is out, does anyone know how tight the fit is? Planning to buy one for my FOIS, but worried about possible scratches on the lug and case.

If you're that worried, go for a strap instead.
Metal against metal, there's always a possibility that some marks are left, tight fit or not.
