I plan on putting this on my ST2. I have no doubts the Alaska would look great on the flat links but it looks so right on the mesh. We will see! Everything looks great so far!

Apologies if either of these combinations has been posted already. I tried the new 16mm Forstner band with horned end links on two watches:
    a) Omega Speedmaster co-axial steel (311.30.44.51.01.002, 44mm diameter, 16mm tall): I'm sorry to report that - mostly due to the 16mm height of this watch - the combination looks ridiculous. I didn't even take pictures.
    b) IWC Portugieser Chronograph (3716, 41mm dia): this watch is 13mm tall, and while the look is quite different from the original combination (20mm/18mm tapered black alligator), I think I like it, and will leave it on this band for a while.
    IWC_Forstner_IMG_20200626_104037 - Copy.jpg IWC_Forstner_IMG_20200626_104116 - Copy.jpg IWC_Forstner_IMG_20200626_104252 - Copy.jpg

This is the short version on a 7" (175mm) wrist. When opened, the short band just fits over my hand. It's a lot more comfortable than the leather strap the watch came with. The center of the end link hits the bottom of the watch case, so I added another piece of tape there (in addition to the lug savers). On the other hand, the contact there will reduce the amount of movement against the inside of the lugs. The band is a bit narrow, but it adds a nice informal mid-century vibe to the watch. I might have to try the 18mm band...

I really hope so because it looks so easy in the video!
Here's my story. I bought the Komfit band, oh maybe a month ago. When it arrived I was psyched. It arrived nicely boxed and it looks spectacular. What a class piece of kit. There was no doubt that this is a quality product worthy of the Speedmaster. So I popped it on my Speedmaster and then attempted to put it on my wrist. No way! No way, and no way!!!.. Many attempts and still NO,.... So...Watch the video again and again. Nope. I just cant get it on my wrist. So I gave up in total frustration. Brought to my knees ny a simple device. Well on top of that it had beed a long day at work. Put it back in the nice box it came in and file it away with my many other watch bands and bracelets.
Weeks pass while I just ignore the Komfit. Finally yesterday I say "This is really ridiculous! I cant let this mechanical thing beat me!". So I watch the video again and then get to work on trying to get it on my wrist once again Well long story short, I finally did, and I found out it wears wonderfully! So comfortable, or should I say Komfitable? I took it offmy wrist, and repeat the feat a few more times just for the torture of it all. ;-)
I'm am still not very good at working it, but I can now get it on my wrist in anger within a few minutes of trying. Improvement.
And now...I have found I really like it...and did I say so comfortable I cant stop wearing it? Well it is!
Now I just hope with the passing of time and continued practice I can become proficient at putting the darned thing on!.
    It's definitely worth the efforts.

Half way through that I thought that after you got it on, you couldn’t get it off so took a pair of tin snips to it!

My wife purchased this Forstner as a Father's Day gift for my Speedmaster. It has not made it onto the speedy yet. I wanted to try it on a couple of other watches first and have really taken to it on the Glycine Airman No 1.

On a watch this size (36mm) it is the most comfortable and adjustable bracelet or strap that I have worn. The Forstner changed this watch for me in a way that it is suddenly one of my favorite combos. I get that it is not a perfect fit as far as where it sits in the lugs as well as the finishing being different...but on the wrist I could not be happier.

I agree, it is comfortable and like you, I really like it.
As for me, it took me a while to figure out the best way to take it off my wrist.
What I do now is to slide my forefinger beneath the bracelet and with my thumb I pull down the clasp. Works every time!
To put it on, I just pull all the way up the end part of the bracelet and slide down to where the pin is. I then pull back the clasp with my thumb and voila.

I love seeing these alternate pairings- looks great on the Combat. Someone earlier in the thread posted it on a Bulova Astronaut and that has got to be the best pairing I have seen so far- far better than even with the Speedy, and probably a pretty common pairing back in the day

Thank you. I didn't mean to post the Combat, but evidently I did accidentally. Those are the two that I have tried. I have been keeping an eye out for a Bulova Astronaut...and I am enjoying this bracelet so much that it might move that Bulova up the list a few notches!

Very comfortable, thin and "vented", I think it's a perfect summer bracelet.

    Oh and it's also beautiful.

I hope the clasp is durable and the horned endlinks won't end up destroying the lugs, because I'm officially in love with the look of this bracelet and don't plan to take it off anytime soon... IMG_20200705_220641.jpg

    I don’t think I had seen them side-by-side yet, that’s pretty impressive.

Maybe @hmmmcamu could be kind enough to post an image from the side of the two end pieces sitting on top of one another, since it's over there that the sharpness matters quite a bit imho.
There was concern about it and as a matter of fact, Forstner sends out small yellow stickers with orders.

The concern was that the sides of the end pieces might scratch the lugs from the inside.
