Be careful. I said the same thing once, and now I have chronic hemorrhoids...
Bob, if you had the flex-link, it wouldn鈥檛 have been a problem 馃槻

Thanks! Correct that the removable links do not stretch, and that the stretch links aren鈥檛 removable. On the prototype, I put two stretch links on either side of the clasp. On the production model I am leaning toward only putting stretch links behind the clasp. This will still give room for the bracelet to expand as the wrist expands but will wear more solidly than having the stretch links on both sides. It鈥檒l also size to smaller wrists.
I鈥檓 super excited to add this to my mesh bracelet that I got from you! Anything that makes it fit smaller wrists (I鈥檓 15.5cm) is appreciated

That flat link looks perfect for me. Put me down for one!

Even better, if you need a guinea pig who can test it on a Pro, a Trilogy RM and an Ed White, then I鈥檒l gladly take one for the team 馃槈

Yes I am shameless.

...I'm constantly browsing to the Forstner Bands site waiting for the flat link to drop... and then Uncle Seiko version as well, grr!

And I thought I was the only one doing that.

When the flatlink will be available for order?
Probably August or September. I might be able to start shipping the 20mm version sooner. Still working on the 19mm end links.

Question for the group - lots of people have asked whether the flat link bracelet will fit the Speedmaster Trilogy edition. It would be easy to answer this if someone knows whether the Trilogy bracelet fits the FOIS. Does anyone know the answer to that?

No it doesn鈥檛, many have tried and it doesn鈥檛 seem to fit, but conversely the trilogy bracelet (Seamaster in fact in this case) can be made to fit the the Ed White. This suggests the various straight lug models do vary in spring bar hole position if only slightly. If there is some leeway in the end link then there is still a chance of universal fitment I guess. See I鈥檓 an ideal guinea pig lol.

Here鈥檚 my EW with the trilogy SM bracelet fitted:

Interesting! Looks like I may need to make several different 19mm end piece options.

Similarly, I've heard of small lug hole differences in the newer Speedmaster Pro reference 311.30.42.30.01.005. Anyone know if that's correct? Or, if the 1998 bracelet for the 3570.50 would work on the '.005 reference?

The trilogy bracelet end links are very tight on their respective watches. If your design is more in keeping with the originals ie has a little more slack/tolerance then maybe a single 19mm end piece may fit the various straight lug designs and the Trilogy watches too. I do believe the 1998 bracelet works on the latest Pro watches and indeed on all Pro cases (and Broad Arrows too). I think the anomaly is the FOIS. The hole spacing on that one does seem different to the earlier (and Trilogy) straight lug watches. It wasn't designed for a bracelet after all and isn't necessarily a faithful copy of any original straight lug. The FOIS bevels for instance are not seen on the 2998 or EW.

This is very helpful, thank you! There will be a little more slack on our flat link than the Omega links, but not too much, as we wouldn't want the end piece to fit too loosely. Looks like I'll need to send some samples out once the end piece is ready!

Me too! Everyone send me your watches and I鈥檒l test them on the new bracelets- assuming I get to keep all samples.

I volunteer to test too as I have a "WatchCo" Seamaster 300, which is nearly the Speedmaster but a tiny bit different.
