For those with Apollo 11 50th Speedy deposits: Yay or Nay?

The photos above just reinforce to me that it is more 'dressy' than I prefer. I already went down that road with the first CK2998; for me,l the Speedmaster does not work well when made more dressy looking, with one or two notable exceptions (the gold ones in '68 for the astronauts, the Italian Albino).

The beauty is my deposit is fully refundable if I really don't like it in the flesh! However jostling from the photos...I love it!

I'm out. I prefer more traditional colors, or failing that, colors with better contrast.

OK, this is getting ridiculous. Why is everyone so obsessed with what people besides themselves think about this watch? Just like every other watch ever, if you like it get it, if you don’t like it don’t get it. Guess how many other people besides myself I care whether or not they like the watches I own...zero!

You, sir, are confident in what you like or dislike. You don't need strangers to confirm or refute your personal likes. Keep on truckin'.

Yay!
I think it looks great in person. I'm also interested in the new movement. The free-sprung silicon balance => improved accuracy, co-ax or not.

Yes it’s stunning I love it, will always be detractors but I think it’s just right.

I'll take the trip to see it in person. I'm not swayed by photos but I really did like the gold accents on my Apollo XI 45th.

Then again, I really didn't like the box sapphire on that watch, which is why I ultimately parted with it....

I highly doubt you’ll get the chance to see it in person unless you are guaranteed one at this point

You better be careful making statements alluding to the fact that you are going to actually wear your watch. The resale value people will eat you alive😀

Where do people make deposits? Is this via Omega Boutiques or the HQ?

No deposits in Aus or UK (as far as I know).

With 7k units, and such a polarizing design, I don't see a shortage looming, really....
