Andy, I am devastated to hear this.

Tom was a fantastic bloke, and I had the pleasure of having several very fun and nerdy conversations with him over the years.

He will be deeply missed by those of us who knew him. I am so sorry for your loss. Huge love to the family.

Condolences to the family.

I had one of two DM conversations with Tom over the years and he seemed a genuinely nice and very knowledgeable guy.

Andy, so very considerate of you to post this sad news.

Tom’s passion for watches was evident and will be retained on this Forum for many to see and enjoy.

RIP.

My condolences to his family, shocking and sad to hear this news. I second the comments above, such a vast amount of knowledge and enthusiasm matched with a strong willingness to share it.

I’m so very sorry to read this. Even though I hardly knew him, Tom was a mate, a chum, an enthusiastic friend. We are all diminished by his passing.

Horrible news. Tom really helped me with my Albatross and we stayed in touch sporadically over the years. He seemed to have such a full and happy life based on his IG pics, and he’s going to leave a huge hole in so many peoples lives. Gutted.

Very sad news. I bought several watches from Tom and he helped me find some others too.In fact the watch in my Avatar was purchased from him.
I never got to meet Tom but through our exchanges via DM he came across as a thoroughly decent and good man.
His passing is a great loss to the watch enthusasts community and of course his family. May you rest in peace Tom.

Very sad to hear this news. Tom first introduced to the DS&S bracelets which I thought looked great on screen but didn’t know much about. I reached out to Tom to ask about quality, fit, etc. not realizing that Tom knew EVERYTHING about these bracelets. He was so generous sharing his knowledge and was so excited to answer my questions. And yes, I know this is such a niche focus but it’s why I love the watch community. We’ve all been down the rabbit hole and it’s so much more fun when someone is holding your hand and leading the way. I ended up buying two DS&S bracelets from Tom which are still part of my collection today. I look forward to wearing my Constellation on a beautiful high quality and perfect fit mesh DS&S bracelet this week. We lost a great one. My condolences to the family.

Andy,
My heartfelt condolences to you and the rest of his family. Tom was always willing to share his vast knowledge especially of vintage Omega quartz watches. He was kind enough to ship me several complimentary gaskets for my Marine Chronometer. He will be missed by many.

Dear Andy,

My sincere condolences to you and all the family. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be for all of you…

It is no exaggeration to say that nobody in this hobby inspired me as much as Tom did. And I can’t think of anyone who was as generous with their knowledge, experience and time as he was. Not to mention his enthusiasm — that came through in every single post.

Dear Andy,

I have considered for years Tom as a benevolent big brother, always ready to share his knowledge and experience, here and on IG - although he was obviously much younger than me. I am sorry I never got to know him better, as those who have clearly think very highly of him.

Please convey to all the people who love him the sincere condolences of our global community.
