@Rockmastermike, Is that a white painted leaf-shaped seconds hand or is it just the photo as I thought they were all stainless steel?

Incredible picture quality, love to see the crisp macro of the register hands..... Thank you for going into such detail on the differences to each ref.

Best,

Thomas

When mine arrives, I think I will also change to a straight pointer hand for the running seconds. I prefer the hands to be uniformed.

I kind of get the fact that the running second hand is different. It is like that they are differentiating between the chromed hands for timekeeping and the white painted hands for the chrono function. It annoyed the hell out of me until I figured this out.

Nope went for a speedy pro, the hands not matching on the fois bugged me

I like the alpha hour and minute hands but I do find the small seconds hand being different a bit odd and it can be difficult to see in certain lighting situations. I know why Omega chose to make it this way but I would prefer white baton hands for all of the sub-registers and might consider having it changed when the warranty expires...

I've got a sapphire sandwich and dying to pick up a FOIS. Have a chance to get a CK but still like the value and appeal of the FOIS.

Thanks for the write up. Has anybody tried replacing the hands on the FOIS with the 3570 set? Blasphemous, I know but I'm interested to know if the SMP baton hands can fit inside the FOIS dial properly. Should theoretically work, since they're both fitted to 1861 mvts.

Have wanted to get this done with my FOIS to have it resemble a 105.003.

It's an interesting idea, but this was as far as I was prepared to go.

Excellent comparison.... Both are great looking watches.

Now that I have a 42m speedy pro on a bracelet I might have to pick up an FOIS for weekend wear.
