Date window or date wheel?

To my eyes looks to be the date wheel ~ as in the date hasn't fully changed within the window.

You fully wound it? From your pics the second hand has moved.

Sometimes the battery can die if it has been sitting unsold long enough. 😁

Pics you see are the moment I took it out of the box.

the date window is perfectly in line.

I wound it, set time. And nothing.

After I opened, I went out with the family to boca mall for Christmas pics and stopped by the mayors. Showed one of the guys there and he attempted to set the watch.

He messed with it a little and bopped it on his palm a couple times. He got the watch to work briefly, the movement was working. Thought I was good, walked out of store and it stopped again. Brought it back to him and he said yeah there’s a problem with it. I agree as well.

Certainly possible. This is something Omega has to replace or is there a way to get this working?

So you thoroughly wound it (stupid question I know but... )?

You fully wound it?

Still no answer to this question. Like 40 turns.

That was just a bad joke by me. If the watch is authentic, there's no battery.

I figured as much. But the internet is never with a lack of trolls. It’s all good. I can laugh.

Perhaps the OP needs to get an avatar. Then more would take them seriously.

Such a beautiful watch.

I recently got a watch. Ladies dynamic. It ticked for a bit then stopped. I then got a whole second watch from the spare parts I will need to fix the first watch. I am nervous about opening up the first watch. I put the second watch together mostly for practice. It did something similar. Ticked then stopped.

I then noticed that both watches were stopped almost identically. The counterpoise on the sweep hand has caught on the minute hand. I have not had the confidence yet to attempt to take the practice watch apart again and adjust the hands. Still is something that I would not have noticed in the first watch If I had not seen the same thing in the second one.

On the other hand many of my scrap watches. And even my good ones are tossed into the box with all the rest. Often they tick for 5 seconds (one turn of the pinion) then stop. A sign the problem is much deeper.

Glad to see your being pragmatic.
One of my favorite sayings "Oh well, as long as no one is dead and no one is pregnant, we'll be ok".

On a serious note, a current purchase like this should be delivered as agreed from whomever you purchased it.

I have had some good experiences with my credit card company backing me up.

I would give the shop a chance to make good but I wouldn't dally, I'd report the issue to all involved parties and move quick to get this resolved.

Things happen, so let's hope for the best (while preparing for the worst)!

My avatar has what I actually collect. Maybe watches will become even a fraction of these. A fraction would be be allot of watches lol.

Nice meeting some of you. This watch thing bummed me out for about an hour. Then back to having fun and enjoying the holidays with family. Looks like the watch is legit from the outside. Just not working. But I’ll know more after Christmas when I call them and get some answers. I’d be fine with just sending this to omega and having them fix it. Anybody have an idea of how long omega takes to service/fix watches?

It took me two months on the dot for my last warranty service. However, if you don't have the warranty card you're going to have to pay for the service from Omega which is going to be $750. I would contact the seller and see what they can do.

Why not call them today or tomorrow instead of waiting? That’s what I’d be doing.
Omega service could take a few months from what people have been reporting.
